    Here's the enrollments for M-Ville, THS, and THN. Per the Indiana DOE, Southport HS has an enrollment of 2,326; Perry Meridian HS enrolls 2,371 students; Whiteland HS enrolls 2,012 students.

    Martinsville and the Terre Haute schools might very well be playing schools twice their size soon.

    Also, a better way to reduce the travel times for the Lafayette schools would be to move Richmond and Marian to the Hoosier Heritage Conference. At one point, not that long ago, these points also applied to Madison.

    I’ve coached football at a school that had 30 students per graduating class, so I’m familiar with the issue of a talent pool. However, where then should the cutoff be? Four classes? Five classes?

    My mom signed papers saying that I was allowed to walk home from school. I don't think she had anyone else authorized to pick me up, since we lived so close to the campus.

    College football has been broken since the Big 10 stopped being a ten-team conference.

    This sounds more like "conference collapsing" rather than conference shuffling.

    While I agree the NCC makes zero geographic sense, having the Lafayette schools in CI would be a travel nightmare.

    My junior high made my mom do that almost 20 years ago; I lived 2 streets away from the school.

    All three of those conferences are real bad fits, if that’s not already apparent.

    No, it’s more like custody battles are a thing, and unapproved people taking kids out of school are a potential problem.

    I think the “closed conferences” are a mistake as well. It did no favors for the Hoosier Crossroads Conference. Long term, I think the conferences will open back up.
