I've been lucky enough to have personally seen about a dozen ND/Navy games. Some were stinkers, a lot of 'em were hard hitting close games. ( I had a cousin with season tickets that just wasn't interested in this game) In fact I may have seen more Notre Dame games, in person, in my long lifetime, than temp has seen total football games in person. Just guessing of course.😊

A for instance, today a Colt tackler hit the Tennessee QB around the ankles as he released the ball and it was called. Maybe it is just my imagination but it seemed that the hit had to be high or really late for roughing to be called. Oh well. thanks for the update, Bob.

I hate to sound like Lou Holtz, but a lot can happen during a game, and that's why they play. DC beat the Irish down there 3 years ago. I just hope the Irish aren't looking ahead.

As another Notre Dame fan, I agree with you. I would like to see the Irish get a nice Bowl Game somewhere warm and get some extra practice and get ready for the spring. I don't want to see them fed to them fed to the wolves. And I love seeing Harbaugh clutching his throat.

Tough loss today! Brett Favre was about the only QB that could throw into coverage and Wentz ain't no Brett Favre, but not many QBs are or have been.

This could be an interesting game. 5A #1 and #2, in some polls, could be one of the best games of the week.

I could be spoiled, and I'm glad the Irish are winning, but they are much more talented than they're playing. Kyle Hamilton's absence was more key than I imagined. I realize he's the heart and soul of the defense but no one seemed to want to step up in his absence.

Is it my imagination or has the criteria for roughing the passer changed this year at all levels? I'm all for protecting the QB but I've seen some ordinary football hits that have gotten flagged this season. It makes me think they should just put the red vest on the QBs and make 'em off limits.

I agree that IU just doesn't have the depth. Next man up just isn't good enough this year.

Another scuffling win. It's not that much fun watching the Irish this season. They're way too inconsistent. The defense was awful and twice the offense couldn't score from inside the red zone and settled for FG's. Lots of work left to be done. Navy up next.

Jack Coan seems to have grown some legs in the past week. His mobility is much better and he's even running the ball on designed plays.😊

Nice win for the Colts in the elements Sunday night. Frank even let Wentz throw the ball late in the game with a lead! Tomorrow's game with Tennessee is BIG!

Tough loss for the Hoosiers today. Third string freshman QB McCulley had a decent day but the defense wasn't up to par.

Totally agree with both of you. Brohm seemed like the right hire for a short time, but it's obvious consistency just ain't happening.

Pete Carroll made USC get sanctioned after he high tailed it north and to a different League. He won a lot but he left a lot of damage behind when he skeedaddled.

I'm not defending Notre Dame, Bob, I'm pointing out that Cincinnati is good, really good. I'm not sure there's enough really good teams to keep Notre Dame out of the final 12 however, but I have no illusion that the Irish are Championship quality this year.
