  1. Winamac at Pioneer cancelled next week to to quarantine of Winamac players.
  2. Very good job on getting something scheduled this fast, I just don't think Southwood will be able to compete with Knox.
  3. 1 Point Games Tipton @ Madison - Grant Twin Lakes @ Northwestern 2 Point Game Delphi @ Benton Central Lafayette Jeff @ West Lafayette Pioneer @ Cass Rensselaer @ Kankakee Valley Logansport @ Peru Marion @ Eastbrook Western @ Kokomo 3 Point Games Caston @ West Central Covington @ South Vermillion Triton @ South Central
  4. I'm not saying that he can't say it. I just wonder what benefit the comment provides to the rest of the conversation. Everyone knows that there is a very real possibility that this week and every other week may not be played depending on the decision makers and the situations from school to school, and it gets really frustrating that it keeps getting brought up in every conversation. End rant.
  5. Is there any need for the first line of your comment? laville caston judson pioneer scum knox
  6. Serious question. Should visiting teams not be allowed to use the home teams locker rooms? Go back to the old junior high/ youth league days where players show up in game pants and get prepped on the sideline?
  7. But how will the bro coaches chest bump the players??????
  8. I'm assuming since it is unsafe for these student athletes to compete in sports that the universities will be shutting down this fall and not allowing students on campus? These players are safer being with their teams than the kids on campus crammed into dorms and into their non social distanced frat houses and classrooms.
  9. Not a ref, but this is what I bought for practice while being masked up. These are nice because you can yell and stop a play at the same time 🙂
  10. I couldn’t imagine starting a football season in Indiana in February... We would have a hard time practicing since we wouldn’t get support to plow the field at Pioneer!
  11. So, if we tested the population for flu as heavily as we are testing for Covid you don’t think numbers would be higher? Covid is no more a death sentence than the flu. My question was to find out if these kids were knowingly around others with Covid and then attended the events or if they were symptomatic which led to the testing. It matters because parents and children were knowingly negligent or it was an honest mistake. Regardless of shutdowns and cancellations, kids will be kids and will do the same damn things. People weren’t born to stay in captivity. Especially kids.
  12. We’re Any of the rochester kids symptomatic? Anyone know what led to the testing?
  13. They are back to practice 8/3. They’ve been shut down since 7/21. They’ll be ready for Cass week 1.
  14. I would have taken it more seriously if it had been in all caps...
  15. Its just funny how we are talking about limiting attendance at IHSAA games, when I have seen and been to several baseball games this season with packed stands and everything else. Only thing missing was the concession stand (actually had to cook this summer...). This summer has gone on as normal, albeit started later, for these sports, but it is magically going to be strikingly different when school starts? Gimme a break. The best thing for these kids is to get them back into a normal routine. If you're scared stay home and let the rest of us do the living. Don't drag the rest of us down with you.
  16. Sorry couldn't find a snowflake mask that covered the mouth and nose.
  17. Who are the guy that you think will be breakout players for your team this year? For Pioneer, I expect junior Brock Robinson to be a 2-way stand out at DB as well as at running back. He will be competing for touches with the Lewellen boys, but is very good with the ball in his hands. Pioneer will also be starting freshman Cayden Hill at QB and potentially at DB as well. He has some maturing to do mentally, but should be able to help out more and more as the season progresses.
  18. From a funding standpoint, how does the 8 man differ from 11 man? Same equipment/supply costs, still have to pay coaches, refs, etc. I would assume most of these schools have a field of some sort inside of their track, but who knows what upgrades or updates are needed. Logistically, I just don't see how schools that have made the choice not to play 11 man football for years can make the financial commitment for 8 man when it clearly hasn't been important to them. Remember, expressing interest is not the same as actually signing up and playing.
