Had Covid not happened Attucks would have had more players. With virtual learning going there were several kids that did not have access ( transportation ) to school. In 2019, they won a section game and finished the season at 7-3. If I’m not mistaken they had 40-50 kids on last years roster as well.

My biggest question is how a kid gets any kind of mvp award for a conference when their team doesn’t even win a conference game. I’m not saying sam isn’t a good player but surely there was a more deserving player from any of the teams that had conference wins. We faced solid defensive players across the board from Laville, Judson etc. When a team is on defense for the majority of most games of course their stats will be inflated. I just think the team wins should be taken into account.

Semistate Championship scores......

Pioneer Olineman that got hurt was one of the teams leading tacklers on defense at middle linebacker and was also the teams punter. Had to move one of our better cover guys from OLB to ILB to compensate and one of our dlinemen to olb, who then cramped up in the third quarter and couldn't go back in. No excuses from our side. Luers came out in the second half playing to win and it seemed like we came out playing to not lose. -
I coach at 2a Pioneer. 1a enrollment school bumped up to 2a from success factor. I am well aware of the struggles that come with playing/ coaching at a small school. You will hear no one from our staff complain about our position in 2a. We played “above our weight” winning a sectional and beating a very good Andrean team. We just ran out of bodies and gas against a very good Luers team. Saying that coaching and development only matters at large schools is an ignorant statement.

This is such bs. Man up and play the team in front of you. If you’re not competitive, get better. If a coach isn’t getting the job done, hold him accountable. Winning a state championship isn’t in the cards for some teams and it isn’t supposed to be, that’s what makes it special. Regardless if you are a public or private school you still have to put in the 17 weeks of work to get there and not have a bad week or half that gets you booted.

Not to sound sarcastic, but do you think an administration that has allowed their field to be as bad as it is for the last 20 years would take the initiative to rent scissor lifts? Also, they probably wouldn’t allow it from a liability standpoint. -

New fun at the Pit for home and visitors alike! Due to covid restrictions there is a limit to only six people in the pressbox, which excludes home and visitor coaches. Any coaches wanting to sit up high in the pressbox will have to "slum it" in the top row with our fans... Its actually pretty embarassing when we get to share this news with other schools. -

Both schools were allotted 250 tickets. Pioneer brought in portable bleachers with their current visitors set to expand seating. Home team tickets went on sale at 8 am yesterday and were gone by noon. You might be able to get ahold of Andrean's AD to see if they have any available. -

Doesn't matter at this point if he was out of bounds long enough or not. He is out and now it is next man up. I could see them going fullback by committee depending on the situation we are in or what we are able to run successfully. -

You only need 2 sectionals or 1 regional to stay up a class once you are bumped up. I am not a fan of the success factor as a whole, but to me if you get bumped up a class and can win 2 sectionals or a regional you probably deserve to stay there. -

Robinson broke his collarbone when he got late hit out of bounds after he made a goal line interception against Bremen. Curious to see who his replacement will be on offense at fullback and defense at db. -
Who ya got?
