  1. Any update from last week's meeting/ any idea when the minutes will be posted on the IHSAA site?
  2. In general, we teach our guys in coverage to be physical with the receivers early on in the game to try and gauge how flexible the crew will be. If crews are more "let them play" we will stay physical/ keep getting hands on the receivers, if they are more strict we will pull our guys back. I always tell the kids the first PI call is on me and I will never get on our backers for checking receivers that cross their faces. As for blown coverages on deep balls take the PI over a TD every time.
  3. KEEP RUNNING TOSS SWEEP
  4. 2 Point Games Zionsville @ Cathedral Westfield @ Center Grove Northridge @ Mount Vernon 4 Point Games Andrean @ Evansville Mater Dei Brebeuf @ Gibson Southern 6 Point Game Adams Central @ Lutheran
  5. I wasn’t taking anything away from AC. They dominated every facet of the game. I will however not back down in saying that it was absolute horse crap effort by Judson. Extremely disappointing effort from a team that prides itself on its toughness and attitude.
  6. I watched online and as early as AC’s first and second possession the Jays defense had 10-11 guys jogging. Pretty weak effort for a team playing for a semi-state. Congrats to AC on a great game.
  7. I believe this is what the kids call the " Trick or Treat" return.
  8. Judson-I think Judson smacks Carroll and gets ready for AC next week. 59ers- If Laville comes out mentally prepared for Andrean like they did for Pioneer they can beat them, but if they come in flat after an emotional win last week it could be a long night. LaVille cannot get drawn into Andrean's game plan. They need to slow the game down and control the clock.
  9. 3 Point Games North Judson @ Carroll Lutheran @ Parke Heritage Tri @ North Central LaVille @ Andrean Eastbrook @ Eastside Scecina @ Lafayette Central Catholic Tri-West @ Owen Valley Mississinewa @ Northridge New Prairie @ Lowell Valparaiso @ Michigan City
  10. I think AC will win this, but I think it will be closer than what you think. AC has only played 3-4 teams with winning records this year. Panthers Hanover Judson by 2-3 scores, but only if they dont come in with Winamac hangover. If they let Culver get rolling it could be tighter.
  11. Judson by 2-3 scores. Fully expect Judson in semistate versus Adams Central.
  12. Doesn’t matter if their oline plays as bad as it did last week… woof
  13. I'm fine with that. I would expect playing on turf would benefit LaVille more than Pioneer at this point.
  14. Any talk of this game being moved due to field conditions or will we be mudding it again this week?
  15. FB Robinson is out and DL/TE Derrick Legrand is questionable, but next man up.
  16. Winamac relied on playing a weak schedule to be where they were at. They ducked Judson the first go around and opted not to play when LaVille dropped. They need to get the MWC cellar dwellers off their schedule and beef it up. I hear the class of 2028 is looking promising for them though.
  17. Curious if LaVille wins if they elect to play on their home field next week if it gets thrashed in the recent weather.
  18. Controls and scoreboard are new, but the connection is digital, if there is not a direct line of site between controls and board it goes out. There is equipment that can be purchased to limit the disruption it just has not been purchased. I'm not going into details on here on his politics and should have refrained from the comment.
  19. Scoreboard is brand new last year and completely donated by the local bank. The superintendent is more interested in pushing his liberal agenda than taking care of the facilities we have. The school has been approached by the county community foundation (over 2 years ago I believe) about financially helping with bleacher replacement , but yet again the ball has been dropped and the can kicked down the road.
  20. I'd disagree with the statement that this year's Winamac team is battle tested. I think current year experience is more important that total career experience with how much things change from season to season. I just don't think Winamac has played any valid opponents this season to date. I think Winamac did luck out with Judson not playing last week. Yes Judson got to rest up, but missing a week of live action can make you rusty quick.
  21. Pioneer moved semistate games in 2017 and 2018 due to poor field conditions as well as press box space for the various media groups present for radio and online broadcasts. Pioneer's field is an embarrassment in the best of conditions let alone after downpours. The home bleachers are a safety hazard and if the scoreboard controls aren't positioned right it loses connection to the scoreboard and shuts it off in the middle of the game. Unfortunately, the admin doesn't care enough to enact any kind of change to the stadium. We are lucky to have a great relationship with Logansport and their athletic director Brian Strong. We will be playing at Logansport again tonight in our sectional semifinal game against Delphi. Logansport is a good midway point between both Pioneer and Delphi. It's just unfortunate that with Pioneer's history we don't even have the internal support to take care of our field to ensure player safety.
  22. I think it was directed more at the Winamac fan😂
  23. There’s only one Winamac fan on here and Judson won’t be on unless they win 😂 Judson will be pretty quiet again next week if Coach Lambert only gives Allen the ball 10 times again….
