Agreed. I thought early in the year it would be a duke it out between Ringer (East Central) and Sherrell (Brownsburg). Brownsburg had an early exit out of the tournament to Ben Davis and East Central kept on winning. Ringer's performance at Lucas Oil was just the icing on the cake.

Unfortunately there are those on here that honestly believe they control their enrollment to a certain number so they can stay in a certain class just for football so they can win a State Championship. In simple terms more students in the classroom equals more tuition being payed. More tuition being payed equals more money to pay the bills, salaries, etc. So if High School Little Sisters of the Poor has a building that can hold a capacity of 1,000 students and they have the staff to take that on, they are not going to restrict their enrollment to 500 students so they can be in 3A just to win a State Football Championship. A student that doesn't want to complete the essay required, the placement test required. More than likely a parent isn't going to fork out $16,000 (less with Financial Aid) if their child can't make the grades. Any student who won't abide by the code of conduct, most likely a parent isn't going to fork out the money if they are at risk of not aboding by the code of conduct. By the term "risk" I mean a parent isn't going to fork out money for their child to attend a Private or Parochial school if they are at risk or in danger/capable of failing or disobeying the code of conduct.

The actual Ben Davis High School is Grades 10-12 only. Then they have the 9th Grade Center. They are 2 separate buildings

No he is telling you P/P's are not controlling their enrollment to remain in a certain class for football so they can win blue ring. Most are hoping to have more applicants to fill to capacity. Those who wouldn't be good candidates to enroll likely aren't enrolling in the first place because their parents aren't going to take the risk.

The original proposal was a 4 year cycle. Also I was not trying to make an attack on you. Just pointing out the flaws of a multiplier (which fails in other States too)..

Agreed just like we can't pretend Providence and Cathedral belong in the same division (for proponents of separate public and P/P tournaments) or Bishop Noll and Gibson Southern belong in the same division (for multiplier proponents).

Success factor makes perfect sense if applied the way it was proposed, but the IHSAA went with the proposed success factor and used their own modifications to it (hence the 2 year cycle which was not proposed). A multiplier is a horrendous idea and always has been. If you think bumping Adams Central up to 2A due to success factor is unjust how do you not feel a multiplier is unjust to Bishop Noll? For those that want to have PP in their own tournament with a Bishop Noll or Providence playing Cathedral or Chatard. Come on that's fine if you are okay with North Posey or Adams Central playing Center Grove or Ben Davis. There are Public schools that dominate certain sports that make up 1% of IHSAA membership (Carmel swimming) and not a peep, but bring up football and that 12% is bad news. There are other examples city vs rural etc etc go on down the list. Quite frankly a multiplier and separate tournaments are terrible ideas. I agree a high school team beating a collegiate team is just asnine for anyone to state. Even a magnet school like IMG wouldn't be able to beat a collegiate team, it's just not going to happen.

May not have been if the IHSAA split the classes up correctly. I've personally felt for years it should be 32 teams in 6A and 32 teams in 1A, then have 63 teams for 2A-5A. That would likely bolster 2A and 5A. I will do a mock up of what teams would have been in which class this year had that been done when I get a chance.

So Luers could beat some college teams, yet couldn't beat East Noble, New Haven, or Homestead. Makes sense. If you truly believe that I have some ocean front property to sell you in Kansas. Most of these 1A, 2A, and 3A schools play 4A, 5A, and 6A schools because they A.) have no choice because they are in their conference B.) will play whomever they can get because it is hard to get teams scheduled outside of weeks 1, 2, and 9 because of conference schedules. Even Center Grove and Carmel found that out after being ousted from the MIC. Center Grove had to schedule 5 out of State opponents. They play in the class the IHSAA places them in period (currently IHSAA uses enrollment unless a SF bump happens) So your statement that they play 4A, 5A, and 6A opponents because they can compete with them, but when it comes to playing for rings they drop to 1A, 2A, and 3A is no where near factual. All IHSAA schools have to abide by the IHSAA By-Laws. There is no separate By-Laws for Private and Public schools (Unless u=you can provide them to back up your statements). Rule 12 is Enrollment, Rule 19 is Eligibility and Transfer please enlighten us on how it is different for Private vs Public? I have seen @Footballking16 tackle the subject of transfers in the past you can feel free to bring that up. There are advantages that Private Parochial Schools have but not in the areas you are pointing at.

A coach will be deemed Accredited on the date the coach satisfies the Educational Requirements needed for Accreditation, and will automatically renew for one (1) year on June 30, provided the Educational Requirements needed for Accreditation are then current and the Accreditation had not been revoked or suspended. b. Educational Requirements for Coaching Accreditation. To be Accredited a coach must complete the following specific education courses: (1.) NFHS Concussion in Sports, (2.) NFHS Heat Illness Prevention, (3.) NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest, (4.) NFHS Protecting Students from Abuse, or an approved equivalent, and (5.) Whom is really the ring chasers? The P/P or even Public schools that have won the ring or multiple rings? Or the ones incessantly complaining about every other thing because other schools have multiple rings and they do not? I mean it can be looked at both ways. The landscape is totally different now than it use to be with Open Enrollment in Indiana now.

6A will be very interesting. Brownsburg loses QB Dunn, RB Sherrell, WR's Smith and Olinger. However Coach Hart has been able to replace players each year. The Bulldogs just have been very good but stumble in the Tournament. Cathedral loses offensively 3 year starter at QB O'Neil and TE/WR's Long and Meeks. They do return RB Bonds and WR's Slaughter and Johnson. Defensively they lose Kirch, Weingart, and Smith who were very good players. They return Lockhart, Harden, and Hughes. Will be an interesting year for the Irish I think they return 3 or 4 of their O-lineman. Center Grove loses offensively 2 year starter at QB Cherry, top 2 RB's in Yoder and Cook (I think they will be fine in the RB department), and top WR Coy. They do return Offensively WR Halubar (Jr) and Baxter (Jr) and at RB have Hennessy (JR) and McClurg (Fr). Defensively they lose O. Bright, McConnell, Johnson, Soderdahl, Beggs, and Boswell. They do return Cherry (So), Woolwine (Jr), and L. Bright (So). I am sure Coach Moore will have some players to plug in for the Trojans. Even if their passing game drops off the Wing T is well ingrained to their players from Bantham Football to Junior Trojans to High School. Ben Davis they lose a lot of Seniors but the cupboard is NOT bare. Offensively the lose QB Gotkowski, RB Morrison, WR N. Williams, WR Skibinski, WR McClain, and WR Searcy. They do return RB Price (Jr), WR Zackery (Jr), WR Horton (So), WR M. Williams (Jr), and WR Stapleton Jr (Jr) also while Gotkowski was injured QB Rogers (Jr) filled in very well! Defensively they lose several very good players Oyesigi, Brown, Evans, Harris, Hurns, Contreras, Falke, Dau, Rondo, Howard, and Hampton. They did rotate a lot of players defensively and will return White (Jr), Bertram (Jr), 2 way player Zackery (Jr), and Horner (Jr). I think their defense takes a bigger hit than their Offense. Westfield many felt the Shamrocks going to Semi-State was a year ahead of schedule. Offensively they lose QB Gilbert and WR Nosler. They return though RB Garnett III (Jr), WR Aramboles (Jr), WR Braun, and WR Knott (Jr). Defensively they lose Lieske, Feltrinelli, Good, Goodvine III, Vondersaar, Graybill, and Stewart. However they return their top tackler Webster (Jr) as well as King (So), Law (Jr), Aramboles (So), Butler (Jr), and Poriah (Jr). Coach Gilbert has been pretty consistent with Westfield and they could have a solid year next year building on this past years success. HSE offensively loses their top RB Alexander and WR Hamilton. Their QB returns Weston (Jr) and second leading rusher Wallace (JR) but WR will be tough shoes to fill. Defensively they lose 8 of their top 10 tacklers in Osiecki, Parker, Seyferth, Ingalls, Carlson, Wright, Rhodes, and Myers. A lot to replace on the defensive side of the ball. I don't know what to make of Carmel next year. I think Warren Central has a better chance of being a more improved team next year, but Carmel I just don't know. If I were to right now look and say who would be the top team I would say Ben Davis. Warren Central could be right up there. Outside of those within the Center Grove program we don't know a lot, but I do know Coach Moore does a great job with that program and will have them ready. As for Cathedral Coach Peebles has done a terrific job so it will be interesting to see what thing bring. I thought it would be tough to replace Orin Edwards after the 2019 season and Nathan McCahill played outstanding at QB in 2020. Then I wasn't sure what they would have after McCahill and Danny O'neil has been spectacular for 3 years. I am interested to see how the Irish look at QB

Yes Warren Central made it to Regionals because their Sectional was terrible. Their Sectional had Perry Meridian (2-8), Southport (2-9), and Arsenal Tech (0-10). They beat Perry Meridian 49-0 and Southport 47-0 (Southport beat Tech 41-12). It was a horrendous Sectional which is probably what Warren Central needed because it did give them a little bit of a boost. They ended up playing well against Center Grove in Regionals eventually losing 14-0. Warren Central will return all of their top skill position players on Offense. QB Jackson (Jr) and Dennison (Fr), RB McMoore (Jr) and Clark (Jr), WR Corley (Jr) Hester (Jr) Williams (Jr) and Morris (Jr). Defensively they return their top 3 tacklers in Shanklin (Jr) and the Dungy's (both Jr's). Former Warren Central Safety rated top safety in the nation Jerimy Finch's son Jerimy Finch Jr (So) (or JJ Finch) also will return he is a Defensive Lineman though at 6' 4" 240 lbs. We will have to wait and see how they improve.

If you are talking about Antwan Hill Jr. he is class of 2025 not 2024, and he announced he was pulling his recruitment from Colorado also . So I don't think that has anything to do with it. I think he developed a relationship with Sean Lewis (who recruited him to Colorado), and there is instability at Colorado with the coaches. When Coach Sanders took play calling duties from Coach Lewis, I think that set the stage for Coach Lewis to leave Colorado. O'Neil may follow Coach Lewis to where he lands (likely as an Offensive CoOrdinator). 247 Sports has their crystal ball set as UK where O'Neil will land. His offers list are: Cincinnati, U-Conn, Houston, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, Marshall, Miami (OH), Northwestern, Ohio, Purdue, Syracuse, Toledo, Tulane, Wake Forest, West Virginia, Western Michigan, and of course Colorado. Some new schools have jumped in since he pulled his commit to Colorado. Do you think it would have made a difference the years Providence was in 2A if they were in 1A? I don't. Park Tudor has been in 2A in the past there are about 930 students grades K-12 378 for 9-12.

I think Providence and Park Tudor have shown over the years they are right where they belong. This year was an up year, but they have ebbed and flowed just like their Public school counterparts.

I hear they might be also looking into East Central too! After beating archdiocese of Indianapolis and Cincinnati schools plus they are in St. Leon!

The jersey grab delayed the jump not by much. Regardless if the defender looked back at the ball, he grabbed a handful of jersey and yanked down. It will be called at any level. It was a good call. Regardless if Brotherton made a heck of a play to almost catch it, it doesn't wipe out that the defender grabbed jersey. Contact is legal and can be accidental if the defender is looking back to the ball (which he was). Grabbing and pulling the jersey down is not legal.

The truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth! Doesn't matter if it is P/P or Public. I was one of those to at one time and have a son that was one too!

With Hamilton Southeastern and Fishers sectional you never know what is going to happen and this year if Carmel will be any good. Fishers and HSE are very familiar with each other and also a Rivalry. With Westfield they have Homestead in their sectional and Noblesville is on the upswing. Personally Westfield was probably a year ahead of schedule this year. Again when you had those 2 sectionals meet in Regionals they are very familiar with each other. When it came to HSE, Fishers, and Westfield possibly playing Crown Point it came down to match-ups. HSE probably matched up to Crown Points weakness better than Fishers and Westfield. You get those HCC teams playing each other in Regional and it can be a crap shoot on who comes out because they are very familiar with each other (has nothing to do with beating each other up either).
