  1. In the IHSAA's defense (that hurt to type) they are not the facilitators for Lucas Oil Stadium. They are the ones who present the State Finals but Lucas Oil Stadium has their own security that deems where parents, fans, players, and coaches can go. The IHSAA has no say in where the players, coaches, fans, and parents can go after the game, that is entirely controlled by the CSC Indianapolis. You likely saw a lot of them during your time at Lucas Oil Stadium in the yellow or blue shirts or jackets. The IHSAA staff, all media, all teams (coaches and players), and paying fans and parents are guests at Lucas Oil Stadium alike.
  2. Yes the middle school construction commenced in spring 2024 and a new elementary school construction is under way as well as a transportation center. They also are renovating and expanding 2 current elementary schools that will commence by 2025. I would imagine something with the High School (new or expansion) will take place in the next few years to accommodate the growth. Lebanon and Zionsville are experiencing growth from Whitestown.
  3. I know and it is still 3,059 between Carmel and Jeffersonville 3,092 if you toss Valpo and Warsaw back into 6A. That is triple what the 5A I propose being at about 1,000 Stop peeing on my parade Coach!! Nothing but love my guy.
  4. How dare they not play this on Field Turf! It is a good thing @Lysander and his wire cutters were not a twinkle in his daddy's eye yet or the lights would have been cut after the 55 yard TD. Only kidding @Tippy great post!
  5. I get it there can be more of a number gap but it really isn't that bad. I think this will make all the classes a lot more competitive in my personal opinion.
  6. Stop telling me you are a genius all the time and let me have my day in the sun! Only kidding of course!
  7. I know what the point of a multiplier is. I am telling you it is as useless as a paperbag in a rainstorm. It does not change anything or do what you want it to do.
  8. It is always good to be challenged and have to think a little harder. I have been plenty of times on here in the end for many it expands our knowledge. Honestly no apology is needed, required, or expected. I take no offense and I think you provide excellent posts to the forum. Even if you sometimes take risks and make predictions you bring good content to the GID. I don't know that I can really provide a preference anymore. I find myself taking an interest in games sometimes because of a Coach I may have met and they have impacted something in the way I think. Even in the State Finals games I really don't like to see any of the kids lose with the hard work they have put in, so I usually will take an interest to the Coach I may have met. There is a fix for that if the IHSAA would make the move or the IFCA would make a suggestion to the IHSAA. Make 6A and 1A 32 teams and 2A-5A 62 teams.
  9. @Coach Nowlin hit the nail on the head. That is why he is our resident WOF celebrity! When I posted I made sure to put some not all when stating that some Public schools have advantages over Private/Parochial schools. That doesn't mean those advantages give them a leg up. I am stating that there are advantages that P/P enjoy over Public schools. I just don't feel a multiplier is going to do anything to accomplish what most want when it comes to leveling. It may give some a sense they are attempting to do something but it won't accomplish anything. It has been proven by many States that it doesn't do much.
  10. A multiplier then will achieve exactly what you want it to achieve. It will give you (and a few others) the optics that they are attempting to address advantages in enrollment and make you feel all warm and fuzzy. Meanwhile in doing so nothing will change but the optics sure do look good right?
  11. I don't disagree with what you have stated and I completely understand you saying you are obviously biased. I have 100% enjoyed your posts about your Tigers as it has given me more knowledge of Warsaw prior to me watching game film or seeing them in the State Finals. I had absolutely no rooting interest in this game. Trust me I totally get the woulda coulda shoulda and the ifs or buts. From an outsiders perspective both teams could use that. A biased DC Hawks fans could also use that to their advantage with missed FG's late in the 3rd qtr and 4th qtr etc. So from an outsider it kind of becomes a wash. I don't feel I have ever stated 1 team had better Jimmy and Joe's to win the game. I felt Decatur Central had to take advantage of their possessions to not let Warsaw get a lead and play keep away and they accomplished that. If Warsaw were to build any lead I felt DC would be in trouble because Warsaw would do what they do best and bleed the clock with a lead.
  12. So what about for those of us that have no rooting interest in the game and who wins (Decatur Central or Warsaw). For me personally I have never said and never will "the North stinks". I don't use sagarin to support any opinion because I rarely look at sagarin (unless I want to see how far off they are compared to Freeman ratings).
  13. You are not very good at comprehension are you. Yes there are advantages that Private/Parochial schools have over public schools, there are also advantages that Public schools have over other Public schools. There are advantages that some public schools have over Private/Parochial schools. You totally missed the point of the post. The point of the post is NO MULTIPLIER is going to achieve what you want it to achieve. There are "MORE" factors than just "enrollment" which is what a "MULTIPLIER" is addressing. If you can't grasp that then I can't help you either.
  14. When it comes to mention of turnovers couldn't it also be true that the opposing team forced those turnovers? A team can offset yardage given up by forcing 5 turnovers. In this game I feel like Decatur Central did a good job of getting the lead and not allowing Warsaw to take the lead where they could play keep away. I felt coming into this game the Hawks had to make their possessions count so Warsaw couldn't get a lead and play keep away with the clock. This is imperative when you play a ball control team, if you take away the ability for them to have a lead and bleed clock limiting possessions you have a solid shot at winning the game. Fall behind and it puts a lot of pressure on your defense to get a stop. I think they did a solid job of that. 10 possessions 5 resulted in TD's, 1 resulted in a FG, 2 resulted in missed FG's, 1 was a kneel down to end the half, and 1 was an Int in the endzone (ill advised throwing into double coverage).
  15. I am very aware of this. The Eagle Township portion of Whitestown feeds into Zionsville and has rapidly been growing. Lebanon has also experienced growth.
  16. Great post. I do not want to see the IHSAA go to 7 classes (honestly not enough football playing schools in Indiana). What I do want to see is them keep the 6 classes and make 6A-32 teams and 1A 32 teams. Then class 2A, 3A, 4A, and 5A 62 teams (max of 64). I am fine with the success factor but I think 2 years is too short and it should be 4 years. I think there are other tweaks that could be made to the success factor. I am not sold on the 2023 tweak to the success factor rule that the number is applied after a team plays two years in the same class, not necessarily the two years in the same classification cycle".
  17. Serious question (because I do not have a clue). Has any school that has the waiver to be exempt from the multiplier benefitted (been to or won a State Championship in Illinois). I seriously do not know. My honest opinion any multiplier (this goes for any State) does not work and is nothing but a bandaid to give the optics that (insert name) Athletic Association is trying to combat what is deemed as an unlevel playing field. Contrary to popular belief or hot takes it is not just P/P there are Public schools that enjoy advantages over other Public schools (especially in Indiana where there is open enrollment). I don't have a perfect solution because I think there are multiple things that need to happen, but a multiplier does absolutely nothing.
  18. This is not surprising to me. Considering Avon and Brownsburg are neighbors and bitter rivals, there is no love lost between these 2 schools. Avon is baffling to me when it comes to football. There is a ton of potential and plenty of athletes in the halls at Avon. It is almost as if Avon and Brownsburg have flip flopped. It was not that long ago that Avon was a top dog and Brownsburg was in the shadows of Avon but now they have totally switched.
  19. I haven't looked much at Sagarin for several years because they do not include any Out of State games. I do look at Calpreps which uses Freeman ratings. Calpreps didn't do too bad on Indiana games this year They finished predicting 83.1% of the games correctly and were 4-2 in the Indiana State Championship games. They predicted Westfield as a 24-21 winner over Brownsburg (and they were not far off as Brownsburg won 22-17 Intercepting the ball at the endzone as time expired). They also predicted a 31-24 win for North Judson but Providence won 35-20. No computer system is perfect and they have flaws, but Calpreps does a pretty solid job after about week 2 or 3 to give you a good solid outlook on the games. Some weeks are worse than others. Their State Rankings of teams are pretty accurate though.
  20. Agreed it is what it is. It also doesn't guarantee that Lutheran would have been able to beat Linton. I think their chances would have been better because losing a QB 2600 39 TD QB in an offense built for the spread is a big blow, but the woulda coulda shoulda game doesn't work. I just wasn't sure if you were aware of it and regardless Adams Central played VERY well.
  21. Not to take anything away from Linton-Stockton because they earned a hard fought 40-28 victory over Lutheran. What was lost in the shuffle was Lutheran's Senior QB Jackson Willis was injured in Sectional Championship game against Monrovia. He suffered a broken hand which ended his Senior season. Lutheran was able to beat Lapel 35-0 without him, but they had nothing for Linton in Semi-State. I would imagine having Willis who threw for 2,633 yards 39 TD's and 3 Int's would have certainly helped their chances against Linton and possibly another State Title game against Adams Central. J. Willis was 13 of 18 for 241 yds 4 TD's 0 Int's against Adams Central in 2023 and 17 of 19 for 279 yds 4 TD's 0 Int's in 2022.
  22. In all fairness to @LC_Bears_04 everyone was thinking the same thing when Brownsburg was down that much to Ben Davis at that time. Nobody predicted they would make that comeback
  23. I thought it was a rather clean game penalty wise for both teams. Probably makes the officials a little more relieved when the teams make it easy for them and there really is no controversy. The only play I could say was anywhere near questionable is the defensive pass interference against Westfield. I honestly on that play can see why it was called and could see if it wasn’t it was that close.
  24. Westfield drives right down the field with intermediate passes and runs one in now Brownsburg 22 Westfield 17
