The only coincidence for Providence right now getting to the 1A State Championship game is that Lutheran got bumped up to 2A (their road block in 2022 and 2023) Answer to the first question is they didn't cut their enrollment so there is nothing that makes them cut it down. The only reason they would not accept a student is A.) if said student does not meet the enrollment requirements/standard B.) Capacity within the school if the school is maximized its capacity they can't accept anymore. The answer to your second question. Enrollment could be down for many reasons like A.) With inflation some families may not have the funds to send their child there B.) Lower number of P/P 8th graders applying to the school among other reasons. The answer to your last question remains the same as number 1.

I never stated that you or anyone within the Indy metro said differently. The post you responded to was informing another poster that stated that finally there is no Indy Metro team in the 6A State Finals that Brownsburg and Westfield should be considered Indy Metro if Carmel and Center Grove are. Ben Davis and Warren Central definitely are because they are in Marion County.

Okay, so Center Grove is 6.1 miles from County line road and Carmel is 6.4 from 96th street. Brownsburg is 4.3 miles from Raceway Road. Regardless if Carmel and Center Grove are considered Indianapolis metro then Brownsburg and Westfield probably should too.

It is all good man keep showing pride for them. In all fairness some like myself were staying reserved on Crown Point. They are very good, I could see on film they were good. I just didn't have a full gage for how good until they played a team that could match their size, speed, and strength. Westfield has been on fire since their loss in a tight game against Brownsburg. One thing many don't realize until they watch Westfield in person. Their RB's and LB's are decent size players themselves. they really pound on you.

The point I am making is if they consider Center Grove and Carmel (both previous State Champions in 6A) Indianapolis in their post then you would have to consider Brownsburg and Westfield Indianapolis. None of the 4 are in Indianapolis or Marion County.

I believe this is Decatur Central’s 3rd appearance in the State Finals. They have lost to New Palestine and Fort Wayne Snider in the 5A State Championship

Brownsburg has won 2 State Championships 1984 in 3A 17-12 over Concord, and 1985 in 4A 23-17 over Hobart. Westfield has won 1 State Championship in 2016 5A beating Columbus East 16-13

Not to down on your post. Brownsburg and Westfield are just as metro Indy I suppose as Carmel and Center Grove. while Ben Davis and Warren Central are the closest to Indianapolis. Brownsburg is literally maybe a 15 minute drive from Ben Davis. Westfield is about a 10 minute drive to Carmel. Center Grove is the absolute furthest from Indianapolis.

I won’t say it was a fluke, however I will say they won in Double Overtime 38-31. Twice all the momentum was with Westfield (TD before end of regulation and first OT) and running the ball at will should have went for 2 and they would have won. This year the game was never in doubt after midway through 1st qtr. Westfield made Crown Points offense uncomfortable taking the run away forcing the pass and pressuring the QB relentlessly.

Total domination by the Westfield Shamrocks tonight, nothing for Crown Point to hang their heads in they had another terrific season Brownsburg hangs on to beat Center Grove on the road

6A State Final should be a good one rematch between Westfield and Brownsburg
