  1. I can’t see Carmel wanting to play teams they'll have a running clock on annually. No offense to Harrison, but we’re talking an annual elite program here. Carmel only aligns with so many programs before they simply blast the others.
  2. I find it to be extremely ironic that both CG and Carmel were hoping to bring in programs that brought more gate revenue, yet they’ll now more than likely fill their schedule with Detroit Renaissance, East St. Louis, etc. Bravo! Bravo!
  3. That would be impossible unless the HCC changes their schedule. Currently, HCC only allows for week 1 and 2 as non conference. Carmel could technically allow for HSE and Westfield (just an example) in the first two weeks then Cathedral in week 3. That leaves six openings and I’m sorry to say but there aren’t but 2-3 other programs in Indiana that bring the type of competition Carmel needs to see to get them tournament ready. Personally, I haven’t been a fan of this since day one because of football scheduling.
  4. I don’t agree with you on much, but it’s safe to say Carmel won’t gain much in terms of revenue at the gate for football if they’re bringing in out of state programs nearly every week. It is safe to assume that Cathedral is a strong possibility of an addition to the schedule, though outside of this addition, seems to me we’ll be watching many out of state teams and their tens of fans.
  5. That makes two of us. I’ve never in my life known someone who pushes so much for schools to drop programs, leaving kids without an extra curricular activity. Drop football at a place such as Attucks or Shortridge and you put youth out of the school and on to the streets.
  6. Go ahead Temptation, you obviously have something to say, so come on out and say it. You and DT really make this board miserable.
  7. As a parent of a now Carmel grad, I have thoughts on this that I’ll gather and comment in the near future. For now, I’ll simply say I’m happy that my son was able to learn some great life lessons about people that aren’t like him from the MIC.
  8. I wouldn’t lose sleep over someone who probably believes he is the commissioner of the IHSAA, but deep down inside he’s glad he’s not because then he can dream of how much better he would be as a Commissioner. You can’t say anything to him without him ripping you to shreds. Some of us have actual jobs and don’t have all day to be on a high school football forum.
  9. I LOVE Center Grove’s staff, (though my son is a Carmel grad) but I think ignoring how good Brownsburg, Ben Davis and Warren Central will be next week isn’t wise. Young teams all capable of going deep. Let’s not be fooled though, CG will be a top 5 team, just not my pick.
  10. Again, I’ll take that bet with you. CG does NOT win the title in 2022.
  11. Gladly will take you on that bet. CG loses in the regional next year.
  12. Couldn’t disagree more on #7. Ben Davis is young while CG is a veteran group. Ben Davis and Warren Central should be the top two in their conference next year, though I think Brownsburg might finally be able to break through and win if they can get past BD in the Regional.
  13. Love that you support your team and believe in them no matter the challenge. Backs are up against the wall, no doubt
  14. The MIC just shows up in November. BD will get to their 3rd consecutive final four.
  15. How’s that? They’ve been in the semi state the past two years and just lost to one of the best teams in the state.
  16. If they would’ve been contracted, then the community never gets to see this win or, possibly a winning season. Way to go SN!
  17. Carmel 14 Detroit King 6 2:12 1Q DELAYED Ben Davis 49 Avon 21 2Q
