I would disagree that these schools are behind. Kevin Vanderbush at Ben Davis has seen his program modeled throughout indiana and the country. In your interview with Jason Simmons you essentially seemed to not know who this man was and I personally would suggest you get to know this man as he is still considered by many to be the best S&C coach in Indiana.

I’m taking CG / BD / Trinity / HSE / LN / Fishers / Zionsville

Two years ago they were in the Semi-State and lost by 1 TD. Last year they were in the Semi-State, beating Carmel in the regional. I’d say that’s “in contention.”

Just to understand, you believe Carmel and Center Grove should bolt for the HCC, and Lawrence Central should bolt for another conference. You’ve also stated on here that Lawrence North should bolt for the HCC. If this were to happen, the MIC, currently the best conference in Indiana, would essentially become nonexistent. I believe the Athletic Directors who work tirelessly to give their students the best experiences possible deserve much more from us rather than actively campaigning to disband their conference.

Unless you were on the IN HS FB Facebook page, you probably missed the constant reminder of the "17 D1" athletes on Merrillville's team, or how they were best in state. The real maturity came out when they were embarrassed by Westfield. I've never in my years seen a more classless fan base or a fan base that is as delusional as Merrillville's. You'd have thought they were the 10-time defending champs with the way they talked.

Based on what is coming back and if all stay healthy, I believe: - Ben Davis goes 6-3 or 7-2 in the regular season and wins their Sectional, possibly the Regional. Semi-State is the ceiling as CG has one more loaded team to walk the halls in Greenwood. I like them at 8-4. - Carmel I believe finishes 7-2 and wins their Sectional and Regional before bowing out to CG in the Semi-State. I believe they'll finish 10-3. - Center Grove I believe runs the table and finishes 14-0 as repeat 6A Champions. - Lawrence Central finishes at 1-9. - Lawrence North finishes at 3-6 in the regular season. - North Central finishes at 5-4 in the regular season and is a legit threat to win their Sectional. - Pike finishes 3-6 in the regular season. - Warren Central finishes 6-3 or 5-4 in the regular season. I think they get the win against BD (barely) to put them at 6-3 and I see them winning their Sectional, though NC will be a serious challenger. WC bows out in the Regional.

Interesting to look at this list... Ben Davis, Carmel, Center Grove I believe are the 3 schools to win a sectional in both basketball and football this school year.

I didn’t realize Stan was back at Ben Davis. I’m sure that ferocious defense he brings will be rolling soon.

They do merge them down in the finals. The point is, there are still far fewer classes than high school football and the comment was uneducated.

That’s as ignorant of a comment as I’ve ever read. Marching band has only 4 classes in Indiana. That’s it. The national circuit has only 3 classes, then in the finals they merge down to 1 class. That’s it. Know the facts before you blurt out some ignorant information such as that.

Did you see me mention the name Center Grove ANYWHERE in my post? I said what I said. BD and WC return talent. They’ll be in the top of the MIC. I don’t care about what CG is doing in this post. I KNOW they have another year of dominance remaining. It’s so cute how you have become a CG fanboy that you mention them even when they aren’t being discussed.

Both BD and WC both have incredibly talented underclassmen. They’ll both be very good next year. DT knows very little about X’s and O’s and uses these hot takes to keep himself relevant.

This is just another DT hot take to try to ruffle some feathers. You could make the argument, and actually I will, make the argument, at seasons end Ben Davis was 2nd best in the MIC. 4 Semi-State appearances in 5 years. They’re fine. BD started slow due to covid, having less practice time than their opponents as they faced schools in Hendricks County. By seasons end, they were better than both teams. Then, I’m the regional they beat Carmel. Who was better in the MIC besides CG at seasons end? WC had a down year but I don’t believe they’re worse off as a program. 2 years removed from a historically great program. Won a sectional this year. This is another program that will be fine based on returning talent next year. Did you know that WC went 5-6 in 2012? Many would say the talent was dry that year as well, but they’ve responded with 7 sectional titles and 2 state titles since that year. Both BD and WC will soon reign again in 6A and you’ll be tucking your tail between your legs as you do with most of your hot take posts. Why the need to have such expectations on teenage kids? The urban school kids continue to amaze me while people such as DT only judge based off of records and championships.

I attended this game tonight as I was fortunate to get a ticket through the online portal. Sat on the CG side. Really enjoyed tonight's atmosphere despite the smaller crowd. BD and CG both brought the energy. Sad that BD had a bad 3rd quarter because for 24 minutes they did everything necessary to be in position to win.
