  1. TL lights are on but I don't have a picture. Kent Adams, TL AD, and Paul were teammates at UIndy I believe.
  2. What a GREAT man!! Would do anything for kids. Was great for North Central and Indiana Football. God Bless. Rest in peace.
  3. As I learned a long time ago, early 60's, if you don't have offensive lineman in any type of offense you are not going to be successful. In any game you watch in person or tv watch the offensive linemen. They either block at the point of attack, pass block, or are down field. Bill Siderewicz, Chris Geesman, Dale Hummer, and Joe Burvan (HOF coaching staff at Rensselaer when I played) made it known as the offensive line goes so goes our team. During that time we saw the robust T, Pro I, double wing, and wing T. Even today's RPO system has to have OL to win at a high level. When I watched state finals and bowl games last year it was the teams with offensive lineman that won. Enough said.
  4. I agree!! To add to my previous thought we even had several schools in our area playing 8 man football. Of course this was before contraction, oops, consolidation!! Couldn't resist.
  5. This has been the official future dates calendar since last July. This may be an interesting year. Everybody may be forced to start on even ground. No summer conditioning, camps, 11 on 11, etc. Kind of like it was back in the 60's. Everybody was bored they should up to play football. Kind of an interesting thought!
  6. According to IHSAA web site August 3 is 1st official football practice. July 31st is start for girls golf. Did I miss something??
  7. If memory serves me correct from the IFCA to the IHSAA there have been 11 schools that had seasons of no point allowed. Including 1918 Kentland. Just thought I would throw that out.
  8. Rensselaer in 1977 or 78 had an undefeated team that did not make the playoffs on the old point system.
  9. North Judson I believe had either 10 or 11 shutouts in the late 70's. Also, the Lafayette Central Catholic Team of 1969 was an OUTSTANDING team. Undefeated. When we played them we were 6 and 0 and they were the same. It was the big game of the year in Lafayette area. They kicked our butts. Lawrenceburg teams of the 80s under Glenn Crocker were also outstanding teams.
  10. Free speech is free speech. Just be willing to live with the consequences of your decisions is what I also told students at school and my kids.
  11. I love Run and Gun also but also love the strategy coaches have to employ. The Lacrosse idea is interesting.
  12. Congrats to all those selected. Great honor. Great job Region 4. To those D1 players who can not play congrats to them also for their OUTSTANDING high school careers and good luck in the future. Congrats to also to the coaches and managers selected. Go North....Beat South!!!!
  13. No shot clock!! High School Basketball is fine like it is. Bring back one class basketball, haha. That should open up a debate. I don't even like the shot clock in college but I have adapted. I do love the pitch clock in minor league baseball. Lots of conflicts in those statements. Ok attack!!!!
  14. Sounds like communism to me: No heaven above us, no hell below us. All of us sharing the wealth.
  15. It has been a blessing to have worked for Scott these last 4 years at TL. What he has brought to Cass, Twin Lakes, and Indiana high school football will be remembered by all who played and coached for him. We have become great friends in the 4 years he has been here and I will miss working with him. Scott, may you be blessed for what you have brought to all of us!!!
  16. Congrats to Austin!!! Good Luck with the Kats. Great hire. He will have plenty of help.
  17. Point Games Indianpolis Chatard vs Heritage Hills East Noble vs Evansville Memorial 6 Point Games Lafayette Central Catholic vs Indianapolis Lutheran Valparaiso vs New Palestine Eastbrook vs Western Boone Carmel v Center Grove
  18. Sorry I never taught PE. Retired school administrator. Just a Blockhead Booster who wants everyone to be a winner. Sorry buster not everyone is a winner in a game BUT can be a winner in life when they learn how to compete and give their best in ALL instances.
  19. Simple rule in coaches terms: Just get better!!!! We don't need more classes or divisions. Just get Better!!!! Coaches have learned to coach the cards (Athletes) they have been dealt. So: Just Get Better!!!! A simple fix would be to give every school a state championship trophy at the end of the season!!!! Oh, that's to much little league or soccer or whatever sport. Just Get BETTER!!!!
