In 2007 Mater Dei played North Posey at Gibson Southern it was a MD home game, in 2011 they again chose to play a home game away at Central against North Posey, MD has a history of having home games on other fields. Why couldn't they have moved in 2010? In 2012 they refused to play NP at Central in the sectionals, but because they agreed to the year before the game was played at Central again. I believe the IHSAA was involved in 2012 but I'm just going from memory and I wasn't on the phone with the AD's at the time of the decision.

I don't know of a time that siblings went to NP and MD and the better athlete came to NP.

We have it in wrestling also, one brother wrestles for Mater Dei and one wrestles for North Posey. Seems to be happening more and more We have a teacher at North Posey who has a daughter in high school, a 6th grade son at NP, couple younger children that will attend NP, but her oldest son (7th grade) left NP school district and entered St. Wendel Catholic School this last year. He is no longer playing sports with the NP kids, now plays with the Mater Dei kids.

I would add that sometimes it gets divided within families, for example a North Posey Football player (WR, DB) has a brother who is the starting QB at MD.

I'd say there might be a Posey County or Gibson County Catholic in there as well. Feeder schools in three counties and I doubt they all consider themselves west siders

1.66 multiplier for PP, do you feel public school communities that are relatively affluent have advantages that can be measured? Say a 1.25 multiplier for public communities with an above average income and/or education. Say Carmel has 5000 students (a known affluent community,) is that equivaalent to Ben Davis having 6250 students?

I would add the GS is one of the few schools in this area that appears to be growing substantially, according to the IHSAA website they have 162 Seniors but 197 freshmen. I have heard they will be over 800 in a few years and possibly still growing.... @Titan32could probably say if this is correct.

I'm hearing bad news from TC, will have some of the starters back from last week but also are losing additional players. Don't know details but heard it could have a impact on the game this week...

They would not practice at all this week, missing 4 practices. They have not had contact with infected person for two weeks. Did not find out until last Friday but was out of school all week. This is my understanding That is what I understand to be the case.

Interesting if NK can give MD a game (if they both win round 1,) I think NK would be at home....

Rumor is they may be back, TC was out of school last week so contract tracing went back to the last time they were around the infected individual (not a FB player) which was the Friday before.... I could be wrong but I believe they will be cleared this Friday at 3. Per rumor source 🙂 Believe it will be a dogfight with all their players available!
