  1. @Rudyhas wrote a few books I believe, below is one I'm planning to read of his... What a Cluster!: The story of Indiana high school football's infamous Cluster System: Engler, Daniel Eric: 9781728807157: Amazon.com: Books
  2. But how do we move GS up? 😀 Small School division has had two different winners so far.
  3. Has Princeton even started interviewing football coaches yet? All I've heard is they keep offering Coach Schenk more money and he keeps turning them down. They have already missed out on a few guys who may have been interested, at this point they are probably just promoting from within...
  4. I would think they would only leave if they have a place to go. If the PAC says no, maybe they stay put for now?
  5. I've heard some other reasons but all I've heard are rumors. So I'm not going to help spread them.
  6. I’ve heard that as of right now the PAC doesn’t want them as a member.
  7. Unless there are tow Joey Elliotts, #21 Joey Elliott went to Evansville Harrison and played in the SIAC
  8. Indiana Mr. Football: Gibson Southern QB Brady Allen is 2021 winner (indystar.com)
  9. Looked like a high profile recruit today!
  10. I always try and look up what players are commited to play at the next level or/and are being recruited to play at the next level when watching the state finals. I thought I'd put what I found so far on here and hope people add to it. Here is what I have so far from 247 recruiting, would appreciate any corrections and additions. Center Grove Class of 22 - DL Caden Curry undecided, QB Tayven Jackson Tennessee, Edge James Schott MSU, CB Kalen Carroll Cinci, OT Sam Buras Ball State Westfield Class of 22 - Edge Popeye Williams Louisville, QB Maximus Webster Ball State Cathedral Class of 22 - OT Cooper Koers Princeton, OT Owen Wood ISU Class of 23 - DL Kendrick Gilbert undecided Zionsville Class of 22 - OT Joey Tanona Notre Dame Brefeuf Jesuit Class of 22 - DL Joe Strickland Purdue Gibson Southern Class of 22 - QB Brady Allen Purdue Andrean Class of 23 - LB Drayk Bowen
  11. Posey County, Indiana: Ave Acrevalue: $7,825/ac and I'd give double if I could find someone to sell it to me!
  12. I was thinking MD by 10+ MD has a big line by 2A standards, Oline and Dline are both very good. They are athletic at the skill positions, physical and well coached.
  13. I would think this would really hurt attendance, would think it would be in the IHSAA's best interest to have as big of a crowd as possible.
  14. Whats the reason for the 5:30 start times?
  15. Tailgaters out front? surprised the school wouldn't want to hide what is going on... I'm sure nothing but chocolate milk in those koozies 🙂
  16. I appreciate the passion you have for your miners! The world needs more people like you!!
  17. The Vikings have the athletes to beat MD, can they compete with MR. Ralph and co up front? I liked how hard our line fought last week vs a very big, physical NK team. And yes I believe MD is better than NK but how much? NK returned most of their team from last year, last years NK team gave MD its toughest game of the sectional (lost 30-19.) Not many outside that locker room feel the Vikings have a chance... I'm going back to 2012 when MD kicked a last second FG to defeat the Vikings at Central stadium 31-28. I think NP repays the favor tonight. Game winning 42 yd FG after a missed extra point to make it interesting, Vikings win 30-28. Like when Gibson Southern plays Memorial, lots of Catholics on the field tonight. Glad its finally game day!
  18. I believe the senior brother (NP) stayed with his friends from St. Wendel and came to NP. St. Wendel is a MD feeder school in Posey county on the Vanderburgh county line. I don't know the stats but sometimes the kids in 8th grade there go to MD and sometimes they go to NP.
  19. It happens from time to time, we’ve had sister went to one school and brother to the other. We have had parent gets upset about something and sends younger sibling years later to other school. I’m sure it has gone both ways thru the years. May be the only time I remember the siblings on opposite sides of the field but i expect it to happen again in a few years. Unfortunately the QBs brother has been injured I don’t expect him to play much if at all. Great kid, great family! MD QB had an older brother who started his high school career at Mater Dei and then transferred. He played a key role in a basketball victory in the sectional over mater dei his senior year. More common is kids going to a MD feeder school (like St. Wendel) thru 8th grade and then coming to NP. I’d say we have 5-10 kids that did that on our roster, a few key starters. Weather was good last week at North Posey.
  20. I really like our chances if we hold them to 6... 🙂
  21. Understood, I'm confident he regrets scoring and heard him apologize after the game. That doesn't change anything, its unfortunate and shouldn't take away from a great team effort to beat a very tough NK team.
  22. I wasn't sure how bad I wanted turf until we had it. Not only does our High School, Jr High, and Youth football programs (k-6) use it but it is also been used by our baseball team, our soccer team, our wrestling team (yes they put mats on the field on a pretty day many a times,) our softball team, our track team (great for kids with shine splints,) our PE classes, heck some of the other classes have used it for class on nice days, and our community (events, personal exercise, movie nights, etc.) The field has people on it all the time!! It's great to see
  23. Nope, we took what was our best option. We passed 31 times and ran the ball 17 times. It worked out for us, NK had a heck of a team.
