  1. I would say Sheldon Day has been more of an outlier the last 7 - 10 years. With players like Ndamukong Suh and Gerald McCoy both being drafted high in 2010 and both being over 6'4" the trend has long been going towards length. Recently Notre Dame had DT that were drafted that exceded 6'6" (Jarron Jones, Jerry Tillery.) The NFL average is 6'3" for a DT and around 310, so the bulk is still there, BTW Sheldon Day only weighs 285lbs.
  2. According to the link above they return most of the offense... "Returning players accounted for 72% of the Tigers touchdown production (rushing and receiving, 68 TDs), 97% of their rushing yards, 63% of their receptions and 56% of their receiving yards in 2019"
  3. I would imagine he would be a real good old fashioned TE! I believe JJ Watt started out as a TE in college.
  4. Has Curry ever played TE?
  5. Alabama has offered 119 sophomores (class of 2022) so far, including 10 at the position of Mr. Curry Per 247
  6. Do you think Curry plays DT or DE at the next level, Rivals list him as a SDE and 247 list him as a DT. Is he a DT in a four front and DE in a three front? Is he going to end up north of 300#'s? Is he 6'5" or closer to 6'3"
  7. Looks like Jaylon started #9 on 247, not sure on rivals but I'm confident it was pretty high. Johnson being a flop has little to do with how highly regarded he was as a recruit Fisher is nearly a 5 star now on rivals, he was in the top 30 I believe in his initial ranking. All of them had offers from Alabama
  8. Jaylon Smith was #2 nationally on 247 and #3 on Rivals, Caden is currently #134 on 247 and outside of the initial top 100 on Rivals. More recently Hunter Johnson was #53 on 247 and #18 on Rivals, 2020 has Blake Fisher who is nearing 5 star on Rivals at #22 and is #84 on 247 Caden is obviously very highly regarded but to become the "Indiana's all time most highly regarded high school football recruit" he has a long way to go and will only have one summer (because of Covid-19) to go to camps to increase his rankings.
  9. Care to elaborate? Seems like a lifetime ago that we went thru conference re-alignment if you will, can't remember all the drama.
  10. They have enough talent and a favorable schedule
  11. I would think that Tell City will be scrambling to find a replacement this late. Hate it for the kids, I believe they are returning many of their players and probably are expecting a good year.
  12. September 18th potential match-up of two teams with losing streaks of 20 games....
  13. I heard that, great addition for any staff. Great guy, great father, great husband is an understatement! He has been around football coaching a day or two 😂
  14. Do you have a record prediction for next season for the Titans? After week four they could be anywhere from 1-3 to 4-0... How many new starters are projected with the Titans this fall?
  15. https://www.courierpress.com/story/sports/2020/05/05/tecumseh-names-bret-szabo-new-head-football-coach/3084578001/ Big change in enrollment from his previous jobs.
  16. Believe Coach Daming is a SS grad. And now Tecumseh is looking for a coach.
  17. https://www.courierpress.com/story/sports/2020/03/20/former-southridge-assistant-messmer-new-mount-vernon-head-coach/2883593001/ Mt. Vernon has a coach
  18. https://www.courierpress.com/story/sports/high-school/2020/03/20/former-evsc-athletics-director-paul-neidig-named-new-ihsaa-commissioner/2883521001/?fbclid=IwAR3mqBesaztZ_67-3UruIUsSgb7Hz3XtfHuBy4vVlhb2gnyXV8EK6A3m5KQ Paul is a North Posey Graduate
  19. Dog crap builds character
  20. 4 PAC schools with an opportunity to win a sectional championship tomorrow night. South Spencer vs North Posey in 2A at Southridge Heritage Hills in 3A at Boonville Washington in 3A at Vincennes
  21. Nope had HH and NP swapped, and to clarify that is not my opinion. That is the opinion I would have if I was a MTV fan. I would predict they lose to HH, GS, Boon, NP, and possibly one other school like FP or SS.
  22. Do you think if the Big 8 had stayed together that would hurt their ability to win long term? Five teams remain the same and the add Forest Park, South Spencer, and Gibson Southern. They lose Mt. Carmel, Scottsburg, and Jasper. On the thread "PAC 2020..." it shows North Central (Farmersburg) for Sept. 11th. If I'm a Mt. Vernon fan (I am not!) I look at next years schedule and believe they have 6 should be wins, HH is going to have to reload (if I'm a fan I see a win,) Boonville we played tough last year (fan hoping for coin toss game,) and Gibson Southern. So IF I'm a MTV man I see 6-3 to 8-1 and we build on our perceived positive momentum. I would add Linton to this...
  23. Big win for the Vikings in the opening round of the sectional. Knocking off Mater Dei 66-58, Josiah Ricketts fresh off breaking the career 2000 point club, had 37 points for the Vikings. Josiah now has 2038 points and according to the broadcast moved into 47th place all time in Indiana.
