  1. I believe Green Bay went to a Hybrid field that is natural grass reinforced with synthetic fibers. Bet that cost $$$
  2. I think the ROI would be influenced by the situation as well, for example, North Posey had a water issue that had completely ruined the track. The whole field had to be destroyed to fix the problem, it was going to cost over $200,000 to have grass put back and $700,000 to have turf. Over the last 15 years we have spent over $200,000 to try to have a decent grass field and that doesn't include watering or mowing expenses. To keep damage down the PE classes didn't use it, the Varsity or JV didn't practice on it, the band was limited with their usage, and when we host relay for life we had to keep people off it. Now everyone gets to use it, the youth league, JR High, and High School teams all practice on it. Track team will use it (especially helpful for runners with fighting shine splints,) the baseball/softball teams will have access to use it during wet practices, the boys and girls soccer teams can have games on it (although so far they don't want too,) we can include the field into our relay for life event, and the PE classes spend more time on it than any sport! No doubt the initial expense is high and we don't know yet what we don't know about its upkeep, but I can tell you it sure looks nice. Many in our community are proud of it, and we are sure using it compared to the old grass field. I think it could become a community builder with our relay for life and some other activities we plan to use it for in the future. What schools are on their 3rd turf field?
  3. The Cowboys should be considered for contraction, the league is watered down with too many teams and the Cowboys consistently under perform. Those players are being put into a situation that is obviously dangerous to their mental and physical health. Plus the league would be better without Jerry...
  4. If you’re saying All-time then Reitz has to be up there. Think they have 11 state titles... 9 before the tournament I think...
  5. Just hope one day those small schools will be able to compete or even challenge the big PAC schools...😞

  7. *NP 2A That's a good looking schedule for GS! Not nearly SIAC good but pretty solid, hopefully this will enable you guys to compete... 😀
  8. Vikings kick off the year with a big win over Boonville
  9. Congratulations Patriots! Danville hung in but ultimately the better team prevailed.
  10. I see Danville lost to some good teams but who have they beat? Tri-West the second time they played. Anyone else?
  11. Could you do the same? Explain how I have an inferiority complex for posting that MD has won easily the two previous times these teams played? Which supported your statement that MD has a better program. How was it playing with my mind and I needed to chill? What type of help do I need? Where did your “are you a Jew” comment go? I was actually pulling for MD today as well as the Patriots
  12. Memorial has done a lot of traveling this postseason, about 24 miles total (48 round trip.)
  13. Well 2 out of three ain’t bad... 2011 48-14, 2014 28-14
  14. MD and coach Goebel have experience playing both days and at almost all times. They got beat by a better team today.
  15. Crazy watching TC force all these MD mistakes, I did not expect those mistakes from this MD team! Well done TC
  16. Starters/Varsity went up Friday night is what I was told. Rest of team left at 5:30 this morning
  17. Would love to be at this one!!! Work/travel will keep me away but hoping I can find a stream to watch it on...
  18. I'll take the visiting Wildcats to win by a couple scores in this one, Boring, McGrew, and Happe are quite a threesome in 2A.
