PHJIrish Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 This should settle the early season #1. It's good for the Irish to get the Bulldogs away from their home field. Not a lot of visitor seating, but it hasn't been long since visitors had limited seating in Brownsburg. Quote
Dave007 Posted August 27, 2024 Posted August 27, 2024 Agree will be a great night. Question - I think the last three seasons we played Brownsburg at home (reg season games) for all three games so I think this is the first 'away' game vs Irish in like 4 years? Quote

The last 5 meetings between Cathedral and Brownsburg have been at Brownsburg (2018-2023). In 2023 their lone meeting was in Brownsburg, in 2022 both meetings (including tournament) were at Brownsburg, and in 2021 and 2018 the game was in Brownsburg. Over those 5 meetings Brownsburg leads 3-2. However Cathedral leads the overall series 6-3. Cathedral and Brownsburg played 4 times between 1993 and 1999 with Cathedral winning all 4 meetings which were all tournament games when both schools were in Class 4A, of those 4 games only 1 was played at Brownsburg. source: https://www.almanacsports.com/football/game.php?id=1993.11.05.013 Quote

Footballking16 Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 Brownsburg giving Cathedral all they want, Cathedral not helping themselves out. Quit the onside kick BS and play football. Quote

Quit the onside kick BS and play football. Agreed Brownsburg looks well prepared for onside kicks. Brownsburg offensive line looks to be very impressive, their offense looks solid overall (aside from them tending to false start quite often they are fortunate it has not been called more). I figured this game would come down to whose defense played better. So far the more experienced Brownsburg’s defense has held up better, and Cathedral’s special teams hasn’t helped their defense out much giving short field on a couple possessions that lead to points. Cathedral has no problem giving Brownsburg possession on their own end on kickoffs but wouldn’t go for it on 4th inches on the same spot of the field? It doesn’t make sense. PHJIrish Posted August 31, 2024 Author Posted August 31, 2024 (edited) Brownsburg 30, Irish 14. At least the Irish held the Bulldogs under 40 this season. Brownsburg is good. They took advantage of every Irish weaknesses. Edited August 31, 2024 by PHJIrish 1 Quote
