Donnie Baker Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 The battle for 2nd is heating up. The ponies will take a beating this week but have a shot at their last two. I think Attica breaks in their new place this week. North Vermilions at The Woofs Riverton Parkes at Attica Seegers at the little Trojans Visors at the Ponies Quote
WRC guru Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Attica won’t open their new complex until October 18th against SV. Apparently the new AD is all worried about safety because of the parking lot being off by 2.5”. They are waiting for it to get milled down, and paved before they open it. Also, been hearing a lot of rumors of the AD not even wanting to open this year? The kids have been through hell because of 4 coaches in 4 years couldn’t find stability in the program. At least give them 1 good thing… assuming the AD isn’t all too fond of opening something for 1 game…I’m not sure why as seeing Lewis Bruce field is all beaten up due to the team practicing on it all year. Guessing safety isn’t a big concern after all.. Quote

WRC123 Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Nothing crazy this week. In the wise words of @Marshall Mathers this week is boring. NV @ PH - Coach Arod has done a great job taking over the Falcons after the departure of Crabtree. Huge shoes to fill and he exceeded the expectations. NV wins this one 42 -7 RP @ Attica - RP proved me wrong last week. They are much better than anyone thinks. A true contender to win their sectional! Yes. even with South Put in there. No one player is the superstar on their team. Just a bunch of kids knowing their rules and doing their job. Kuddos to Coach Sanders! RP by as much as they want Seeger @ Covington - Covington's RB back in the mix for best RB in the conference? I was told he had close to 400 yards last week! I don't think Seeger will be able to stop him this week. I'll take Covington winning 35 - 21 SV @ FC - From what I'm hearing SV is lucky they didn't play on Friday... Unfortunately for Coach King the weather won't be a factor this Friday. (I do remember a few years back King was supposed to lose to an SV team but he was able to pull off a big upset...) I think FC will be able to keep it close for the first half but the power house Visors are too much. SV wins 42 - 20 Quote

A few mistakes from beating NV, and a postponed game from beating SV. That sectional will be interesting. SP still the clear favorite? I haven't seen them play, but their only losses are to Lutheran and NP, who are a combined 10-2. Outside of that.... in the wise words of WRC123 quoting Marshall Mathers.. boooorrrinnngggg. Quote

Porkyhedgehog Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 That cian kid had on good game against a not very good team the botner kid is miles ahead the cian kid has a good O-line also while the falcons and botner have a awful O-line other than the holt kid. Holt is the best center and outside linebacker in the conference, he has to make up for that #71 kid I don’t even know his name but he is awful and looks like he is scared to tackle. No one ever talks about the recievers of the falcons because of how bad the Qb what do we think about the receivers if they had a better Qb Quote

GroundSquirrel Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Nut-Tastic thats what the squirrel thought about last week in the WRC. The race for 2nd Place is in full affect these next three weeks. Time for the power courtesy of your favorite NUT-JOB the Squirrel. 1. SV- Played sloppy at times Saturday but got the win and took care of business. I see both sides of the argument for postponing the game and honestly, I ain't taking sides at the end of the day it's a football game and the wildcats played better. 2. NV- Front runner for 2nd place and honestly the Falcons should handle business the next three weeks. Botner is a real frontrunner for best offensive player in the confernce that is not a QB 3. RP- Where was that the week prior RP. The panthers honestly had the advantage with the weather Saturday and couldn't take advantage. Too many penalties and talking a little too much has plagued the panthers. Hope for an NV loss but I don't see that happening 4. FC- Shut out the pats, I see you herb. If the stangs stay healthy this week I would watch out 5. Covington- Cian Moore had a good game we will learn about the trojans in two weeks 6. Seeger- BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 7. PH- Maybe next year 8. Attica- New turf in action Quote

I get that safety is key and I agree 100%.. but why was SV the ONLY school that postponed? Don't tell me the weather was worse in Clinton than it was anywhere else in the conference. Lots of wind & rain. SV is better than RP. If they play Friday they still win.. but clearly they were TERRIFIED of losing knowing the conditions and made a call because of it, but played it off for the "safety" of the kids. Saturday was still wet, but nowhere near the conditions Friday, and the game was close.. just my lyrical miracle spiritual individual in the swimming pool thoughts of the day. Quote

Does the WRC give out post season awards like this? For example coach of the year, offensive/ defensive player of the year. Quote

KAllen Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Only one coach was reaching out to the others on Friday trying to get them to delay or cancel to Saturday. That’s a fact and I’ll say it to your face. Hint - no one took the bait and it still got delayed to exactly the time of no rain on Saturday. SV will win the conference undefeated. They earned it. But they have no running game and cannot handle physical teams, as shown Saturday vs RP. RP provided the blueprint for North Posey and Linton on how to beat them. Reality will sit in in a few short weeks. SV @ FC - SV Herb was at the SV/RP game on Saturday. He knows they must attack and pressure SV on D. I’m just not sure he’s got the kids to do it for 4 quarters RP @ Attica - Attica is better this year You can see it on film RP will simply be more physical and take care of business. RP finishes with PH and Covington prior to sectionals Seeger @ Covington - Game of the week for WRC standings. Covington by 10+ due to better athletes. I like the way Seeger plays, having even broke out the old school Power I several times this year. The Moore kid is great in space and gives Cov. the edge. PH @ NV. - Coach Rod has his boys playing great ball. This will have a running clock in the 2nd half. 28 minutes ago, WRC123 said: Speaking of Botner being the best offensive player in the conference. Does the WRC give out post season awards like this? First_Backer_Inside Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 There are different all-area teams throughout the state that usually pick a Defensive and Offensive guy. Anything like that in the area? I know the Pharos Tribune does it for the teams around Cass County. Kokomo Tribune does one for the teams in that area as well. Quote

Do you feel your football team would benefit from having the use of a high quality end zone camera? I feel something along the lines of the HI-POD X31 for example, would not only benefit your team at the Jr high level, but would be a boon for the whole RP football program. Quote

I have seen much film from drones, and it is not as conducive for evaluating individual player use of proper football technique. 2. When a drone is inevitably used by a terrorist organization to launch an attack at a high school football game in the future, all drones will be grounded and you will be wishing you had the luxury and quality of the HI-POD X31 Quote

Stick to being "milftastic" cause you don't know what you're talking about on this one. Quote
