Gipper Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 I'll be heading to Camp Randall Stadium to see Purdue take on the Feral Rodents. Purdue, as we all know, is having a very dismal season but UW isn't exactly lighting the league on fire. Purdue's defense looked great for three quarters against Nebraska...then reality set in (along with a multitude of penalties). Wisconsin managed to blow a huge halftime lead against USC in the Colosseum. If Purdue can hold UW's run game to under 250 yards and if the offense shows any signs of life, Bucky will prevail 24-10. If not, 48-7. Good thing I have a hotel because beer is now served at the stadium. 1 Quote

Gipper Posted October 7, 2024 Author Posted October 7, 2024 I had no idea I was so prophetic. Boilers outclassed in every phase… …at least I had some good beer! Fabulous stadium…and they do have turf!!! 2 Quote

Purdue got the first one back, but not the second one which of course was run in for a touchdown on Wisconsin’s first play from scrimmage. It basically set the tone for the day in addition to consuming many Capitol City Ambers. Lucky’s 1313 Brew Pub also had many good craft beers. 1 Quote

Hear the Brew Pub scene there on State Street is great. Was the student section THAT empty the entire game? Quote

Many great bars and restaurants. 1 Quote
Bobref Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Was there once in my youth. Was very impressed by the perpetual cloud that hung over the student section. 1 Quote
