Who ya got in this game of unbeatens in round 1 of sectional?

Carroll Flora, doubt it will be close. Common opponent Clinton Prairie, Frontier beat them by 10, Caroll blew them out. Not a huge fan of transitive property in football, but I think this one is pretty glaring. While Carroll's schedule isn't anything to call home about, I doubt Frontier would go undefeated in it, but just my opinion.

Carroll 32-14. Frontier is possibly quite solid and maybe close to being as good as Carroll. However, by the time they get past the inevitable shock of the difference in the quality of opponent, it will be too late. Not a lot Frontier can do about it, but only having to show up for 8 weeks in a row makes for an incredibly tough week 10. Falcons got the worst possible draw. As Bobby Boucher above said, Carroll's schedule isn't exactly a gauntlet, but they've had to be ready to play more weeks than not. Glad to see Frontier having a great season! Maybe they can prove us wrong.

Carroll's showing around 50 players on the roster ... including eight 8th graders?  Frontier's showing 28 including 2 8th graders?  When did 8th graders start showing up on varsity rosters?  But I digress. 

As a program, Carroll's been to regionals the last three seasons and brings some that with them into the contest this Friday.  I see Frontier playing them relatively tight, but just that little extra allows Carroll to get in a surprise play for TD and a turnover that causes a two-TD differential going into the locker room.  That roster size helps to wear down Frontier come the second half.  Frontier's had a good season and, like others have said, glad to see them coming back after a tough last decade or so, but I think Carroll controls this one from 12:00 left in the first to 0:00 in the fourth.

I don't think that's allowed under IHSAA rules, is it? Are the 8th graders water boys?

Could be a running clock in second half.  I'm a little biased, but the Cougars have way to much offensive firepower.  Frontier might get a couple, but they won't have an answer defensively.

I'm thinking Carroll 35-0. Don't see Frontier scoring much on this battle tested Carrol team.

Regardless of outcome, the IHSAA should be ashamed that we don't have some sort of seeding. Our neighboring states shake their heads on the no seeding/random draw. It's time to get something whether it's fully seeded or partial & random draw.

I think it will be in this neighborhood.  Good year for Frontier, but in my opinion they will struggle with Carroll's size and athleticism.
