He was awesome today.  Bout time they started using him in the pass game.  Hell.  I’d move Kmet to QB after that pissmissile he threw on the 1st drive.

Booker was the highest rated Bears player according to PFF:  90 grade in his debut on the year.

All those Caleb Williams wont do anything because he got emotional with his mother and paints his nails crowd seems pretty quiet........  HMMMMMMM.

LOTS to continue to approve on with him, but he is 8 games into a true season (last year was such an utter disaster internally and THANK GOD they figured it out , thanks, Mr. Warren and thanks George to get out of the way).

5-3 heading home to play Giants.

Warren 5 Catches for only 26 yards

Loveland 6 catches 118 yards and 2 TDs.... that puts him only 1 TD behind Warren in 2 less games than he has played and has half the targets 57 to 25 ......      But Yes, Warren Clearly is so much better.  I think I did that right.

Show me where Warren has done this:

NOW THIS:   Who was the hightest graded QB (barring tonights game). Oh thats right CW18

Speaking of the Offense:

Anyone who watched Caleb Williams play last year, and compared it to this season, has to notice the massive development in his game. His trajectory is right where you want it to be. If he continues to develop like that under Johnson, by the end of next season he will be considered among the League’s elite QBs. 🤞that he stays healthy.

OK, the guy’s a nerd’s nerd. But you’ve got to love that enthusiasm in an owner.

He is but you know what, you see him Reffing Girls Flag Football,  the guy CARES, really does, but football mind is just not it.... but he CARES.... A LOT. hence why he finally listened to a football guy named Warren and said, yes, Ben Johnson is worth this much money and don't blink at it.....

Congratulations Coach...Loveland had a good game against the team ranked dead last in the NFL for points per game, and next to last for passing yards given up per game.

Still glad the Bears passed on Warren....big time.

Warrens best game was against Chargers are currently ranked 20th against TE in 2025,  real ball busting DEF there

His openign game against the Dolphins:

he Dolphins' 2025 defense was considered poor against tight ends, largely due to an underperforming interior defensive line and struggles with the run defense, though they were ranked 28th in total points against

. While the team was not specifically ranked for its coverage against tight ends, its overall defensive struggles in the interior and against the run likely affected its ability to contain tight ends. The team's defensive scheme, primarily a 3-4 base, is designed to use linebackers to cover tight ends, but the inexperience and inconsistent play of the interior defensive line made it difficult for linebackers to get help and make plays.

Game 2 Bronchos:

The Broncos defense is vulnerable to tight ends, allowing 482 receiving yards against the position this season, with a high yards-per-reception averageDespite this weakness in coverage, the team is strong overall, leading the league in sacks and total pressures, which puts significant pressure on the quarterback.

Tight end performance against Broncos defense

  • Opposing tight ends have 482 receiving yards against the Broncos this season.
  • The Broncos' coverage against tight ends averages 13.0 yards per reception.

Teams with the worst defenses against tight ends
  • Cincinnati Bengals: {USA Today} identifies the Bengals as having the worst defense against tight ends this season.
  • Baltimore Ravens: {Sportsnaut} notes that the Ravens have one of the worst overall defenses in the league, which likely includes their performance against tight ends.
  • Las Vegas Raiders: They are often mentioned among the worst, particularly with 24.5 receiving yards per game allowed, according to {StatMuse}.
  • Kansas City Chiefs: The Chiefs also allowed 24.5 receiving yards per game to tight ends.
  • Los Angeles Rams: They are listed by {StatMuse} as allowing 3 touchdowns to tight ends.

Checks notes:   Yes, Colts did play the Raiders and Rams already....And 20th ranked CHargers against TEs.....

But yes.....   Warren is just MOONS ahead of Loveland.....

Loveland with 1 less TD in 2 less games than Warren and yes Raiders who are poor against TEs did not get to defend Loveland as one of the 2 games he was missing

I never said Warren was "moons" ahead of Loveland...simply glad that the Bears passed on Warren.

Loveland had a breakout game against the worst ranked defense in the league when it comes to giving up points and 2nd worst for pass defenseNot 20th....31st and 32nd.  And you crow about Loveland's game while throwing Warren under the bus??

As I stated earlier, we shall see where the both stand at the end of the season.

The MEtrics should be against POSITIONS called TE not overall pass defense.  I know you understand this in the grand scheme of NFLing

Bears traded draft capital for Browns DE Joe Tryon-Shoyinka. Anyone know anything about him?

Buried on a very good CLeveland DL

Beat Braxton Jones badly last year I think or year before when at TB.

I look for him to play 25 snaps or so at a very reasonable cost.

Depth Piece and I am very okay with that

Bears do not need to start trading multiple 1s for guys like Maxx Crosby for instance

When you dimiish the performance of the TE because of the DEF and I provide similar metrics of your favorite TE against also low end Defense .......You see how that can come across has diminishing .....

it would be like not supporting Carson Steele when he got to run the ball against North Central.........He ran for 200 and 4 tds... YEA BUT it was against North Central.....doesn't count.....

yea that account has zero crediblity.....fan account for Bears and Brisker with like 2700 followers......

No dice

Bears made their DE depth pick up to pair with Booker..... Booker looked very very good in week 1 being back, like he did in pre season, they have a young bull there..... let him develop ..... I am excited for #94, LOTS of tools.

Glad to hear that Coach....I sure hope Book remains with the Bears.  But I also understand getting the sure thing as well.

I need to know your level of football experience with pads on before I know whether or not your opinion holds merit.

Loveland can’t possibly be better than Warren…because of “the signs.”

I think I’m doing this right…

SO you have any pancake blocks of Warren to share?

Coach....I don't coach....but it looks like he is grading out ok.  Don't have the time to spend tons of time on it, but it I trust Google AI, would seem he's ok in that phase of the game

Tyler Warren's blocking grades are viewed as improved but a weakness compared to his receiving skills. While a college-level grade for blocking was around 58%, his professional NFL grades show significant improvement, with some analyses placing his run-blocking grade over 70 and pass-blocking around 78%. He is seen as a do-it-all tight end who is versatile enough to block effectively in run plays and be a threat in passing plays, making him a valuable asset to the Colts' offense.

College vs. NFL blocking grades
  • College: A scouting report for the NFL Draft gave Tyler Warren a blocking grade of 58%.
  • Professional: Since entering the NFL, his blocking grades have shown a marked improvement.
    • Pro Football Focus (PFF) grades are among the best for rookies, with a run-blocking grade of 72.7 and pass-blocking grade of 78.3 in the first few weeks of the 2025 season.
    • He has been ranked as a top-5 tight end in PFF blocking grades.

You get very defensive, very quickly when it comes to your Bears Coach.

My point its was ONE game....against an opponent that is ranked among the bottom when it comes to both total and passing defense.  That is not diminishing anyone...just simplying pointing out facts.  As i will say for the 3rd time, let's see how it all washes out at the end of the season.  Glad Loveland had a good game.  I have nothing against the young man.  BUT WILL SAY IT AGAIN, GLAD THE BEARS PASSED ON WARREN.  Sorry, but not sorry if that is upsetting to you.

I can see you are still carrying this....good.

Because I will certainly always hold Coach's views above yours when it comes to this game.  His football resume blows yours (and mine) out of the water.

Park your ego dude....you are a fan of the game with no experience....you'll be just fine.

When someone constantly rehashes a two year old story while their favorite program is in the midst of its best era in program history, they deserve every bit of criticism coming their way.
