So a dome/retractable roof it is.  I liiiiiiiike it!

Yuck. I don't.  Retractable roofs just add a tremendous cost and complexity to a project,  costs that will of course be born by the taxpayers.  The Bears need to built a traditional open air stadium or something like the Buffalo Bills are doing with their new stadium.

Weather is part of the game.

The Plans are for a DOME and not retractable, I know you are very smart man, so understand that the Chicago Bears are not building this stadium to be used for only 10 Sundays a year, they want it all, Super Bowls NCAA football/Basketball/UFC/WWE and list goes on.   You do not get that in Chicago land by leaving it as an open air stadium

Next thing, Kevin Warren has been on record mulitple times that the stadium itself, just the stadium will be privately funded

What he did say was they needed munciple help in Arlington, perhaps that could become a tax issue for the residents, talking roads, drainage, et al, but not stadium itself which is more than acceptable to me.

I think this is the media session from last week

The so real NFL football in the midwest will just be played at Lambeau field.  Got it.

An ugly monstrosity, but at least it was privately funded.

If you mean outdoor football, pretty sure Cleveland, Cincy and KC are open air stadiums in the midwest.  Did you mean NFC North?

https://www.britannica.com/place/Midwest

Should have said Upper Midwest. And yes, it looks like Lambeau field will be the only real stadium left in the NFC North.  Advantage: Packers.

No doubt...Lambeau mecca of historic NFL venues.  But as Coach N, says, building one today has to be for multi-purpose use.  All about revenue generation.  Has to be a place with some warmth when he takes the girls to see Taylor Swift again!!

I can't help wonder if the Bulls, BlackHawks and White Sox ultimately follow them out to the burbs, getting out of the city.

United Center holds a lot of people and Bulls just built a practice facility nearby downtown, same with Hawks....

I am still on my Wsox Boycott until Jerry sells or his days on this earth have come to an end

He gets no more $ or time from me........ Been 4 years since I went to a game there (used to go 8-10 times a summer) and last time I was in the stadium was when I was invited for Batting practice and to shag fly balls on the field on a Goose Island promotion that my good friend invited me too from his Goose Rep at his place he owns.   That was fun, hacks, frothy refreshments and food all on the house....... But I digress.

(oh, the cute story of Wsox winning 1st 2 games of year has quickly fallen to the 8 losses in a row)

Another off season priority met!!!

Contract extension for Kyler Gordon.....I think he is a very good slot corner !!!

Bears must think so as well....made him the highest paid slot corner in the league.....$40M extension  ($31M+ guaranteed)

Yes, he is very productive at that spot, a menace around the line of scrimmage off the blitz and run game help along with doing well in coverage.  He was selected 39th overall in 2022 and has lived up to that and thensome imo

After my latest round of consumption of information available:

COACH NOWLIN BEARS WISH DRAFT 2.0

1.  Mason Graham, if he is there at 10, Bears cannot put the card in fast enough ( not likely)

2.  Will Campbell:  If he falls past PATS at 4 or anyone else, I would support this pick.  Braxton Jones, last year of Rookie contract, if he was extendable, he would of been now, guys simiular to his grades got about 20 million a year, not sure that is something Bears want to do, so get a PREMIUM guy, short arms and all.

3.  NO CAMPBELL:  FINGERS crossed Jeanty is there, then trade down to a high bidder,

4.  Trade down, get more picks, from all accounts, talent is DEEP in the Bears Needs, already have 3 in top 41 picks, you can trade down and potentially get HAMPTON out of UNC late 1st, or wait on RB and get the kid from IOWA in rounds 2 or 3 and get a tackle like BANKS, SIMMONS after you trade down.

I hope is SNOWS and its 25 degrees in GREEN BAY

@Coach Nowlin, can you do something about this?

#BREAKING: I’m hearing multiple reports that a Draft day trade is in place between the #Bears and #Patriots contingent on Hunter and Carter being off the board… Sources indicate that the Bears would be trading pick #10, #41, and a 2026 3rd rounder presumably to come up for blue chip RB Ashton Jeanty

Lying season for these clowns are full force on lead up:

All about throwing nonsense against the wall to create buzz and engagements and then if they are right to do victory laps but not hearing a peep when they fall flat.....

The classic line is :  "who ranks the rankers"

FOR INSTANCE:   Cam Ward..... 0 star recruit to #1 pick in draft.

Felt like POLES showed some poise and experience not freaking out when he had like 4 Running Backs sniped from him on Friday and Saturday, still got what looks to be a very productive RB in round 7.   I DO NOT want to bring in NICK CHUBB, no thanks.

Saturday with Trade downs, HUGE to snag 4th in 2026 that was used to trade Chiefs for Joe Tuney.

Saturday picks looked to be value for measurable picks.  Maryland LB who RUNS and is productive tackler, nice depth piece and hopefully Special Team 4 way player there, another OL who most likely bumps down inside and freak athlete at DB from UTSA who is tall and Fast.

Got another swing tackle from BC on Friday that will hold immediate competition in that room.

So much talent onboard, I mean you get 2 5 star dogs in round 2, Burden and Turner

NOW TIME TO COACH EM UP and not accept medocrity

Loveland and Burden fealt like Johnson picks to me. 2 guys that he'll want in his offense. I'm high on both of them. Burden should be electric in Johnson's offense.

Trapilo and Turner appear to be solid picks as well. Hopefully immediate contributors. Especially Turner next to Dexter at DT. Trapilo could beat out Jones for LT. The only thing that really surprised me was they didn't address the DL more. That would lead me to believe they feel very good about Booker and Hardy providing depth for Sweat and Odeyingbo on the edges.

One thing that jumps out at me when looking at the Bears’ activity in free agency and the draft is that they actually have a plan. Poles and Johnson are clearly on the same page: trying to build what the Lions have done in Detroit under Campbell. It’s been a while since I thought they had anything like a coherent plan in Halas Hall.

Concur Bob,

Wiederer of the Trib wrote an article that Poles tried Dec tried to move in front of PATS in round 2 for Henderson, then was going to take Sac from ASU, but was snipped 4 picks before, so stayed to the plan and didn't panic.

Dexter is going to be interesting because he has leaned out a lot, almost to play outside for Denis Allen vs inside at previous weight
