Explain it to this “dolt” as you claim I am, how that would be a bonus if he is part of the chiefs o line that just got skull dragged?

On the biggest stage, he shit the bed and some bears fans want to run out and throw money at him?  Seems logical.

It's not that difficult

You speak proudly on you don't give any money directly to the NFL which means that the only NFL you watch if it's on your package that you choose to purchase or whatever cable provider you choose to do so and then so if you only want to watch a game, which means you do not invest much time in it until you only get little snippets of interneting NFL news through your own personal algorithm that is tracked throughout your existence.

So if you think that the player in regards Trey Smith is not worth pursuing because of one game that you also only watched one half of that. I don't know what to tell you if that makes you Dolt so be it , my usage wasn't directed directly to you, just the general observation of many folks who just consume news or NFL news and just run with the first thing that they recently just saw as a fact instead of an uninvestigated opinion

You choose to look down upon Bears fans like myself. For instance, who have openly suggested the Chicago Bears to engage in conversations to sign this coveted player who again had zero sacks over 18 games.  I haven't looked at the stats from Sunday. I don't know if he is being credited for giving up a sack or not but let's say he gave up one sack or even two, that automatically means he's a poor player in your world?   If so, that is a hard standard to live in in your world of sport.   Oooof.

It's cool.  I just need to remember your stances are reactionary in nature and not seeded in any sort of deep thought or big picture landscape that I choose to absorb in my entertainment which in this case is NFL and the Chicago Bears

Which one is it? Are you going to be watching or you're not going to be watching?

No mention of the zero sacks given up all year. But yeah he's going to Olay in Chicago if he's signed there or anywhere he goes

Your reasoning is very sound once again for somebody who does not watch very often and just gets internet snippets or one half of a Super Bowl

I should really take your opinion on the matter. Thanks for the reminder

However, I will continue to take the entire body of work of a 25-year-old potentially about ready to hit free agency

Quite the stat line.  No sacks all year.  Wonder what happened during the biggest game of his career?   Beers need to pause a bit.

Go ahead. Look up his performance in last year's Super Bowl

Same situation same team

I think you know if you actually did look that up what that would look like...... Because I already know the answer of my questions I ask

There's not an NFL coach or front office organization that is going to take your stance that you have thrown out on the internet here about one game where he graded out as the NFL average. By the way, in case you chose not to once again look at information I provided that is factual and data driven......

But you should know you got the answers. The rest of NFL does not

From somebody who's not a Bears fan who doesn't watch NFL you sure do care a lot about Trey Smith and where he's going to go

What a world you live in of NFL consumption

Didn't Quentin Nelson have very similar statistics until he "got paid"?  Then his body of work subsequently went down.  I wouldn't be surprised if the same happens to Mr. Smith if he signs a big FA contract.

I guess....Nelson has made 7 pro bowls in all 7 years of his career....5 of the 7 years, he's been an all-pro.  Most teams would take that type of performance in a heartbeat.  I get he may not be the same as he was the first 2-3 years in the league, but pretty darn good.  2nd team All Pro in 2024.

He lines up against other really good players as well, as he's the kind of guy that would play with injury and not say much about it.  Pretty darn thrilled he's a Colt.  I know Andrew Luck would have appreciated him earlier in his career.

What have you seen that shows his body of work has slid ?   Pro Football Focus?   Or just Dan Dakich screaming about paying a Guard ?

Nice piggy back.   I'm sure that's what you meant with OLAY of 1 half of super bowl watching.    Got It

Him and Kelly "get paid" and their overall effectiveness goes down.

Thanks for the data

That would see a slight slide, still way above PFF average grade for Guard at a tad over 60%.

Muda, are suggesting that all players in the NFL after they get "paid" automatically slide or is it just Nelson in this case?

How about 34 year old Zach Martin, another elite G that got paid, did he slide?  I do not know, I do not have access to PFF.

https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/quenton-nelson/12954

But looks like he was graded out 8th in the NFL, not too shabby of 2024 year
