Sparty Posted February 9 Posted February 9 I’m watching for the special guest/s and commercials. Quote
Sparty Posted February 9 Posted February 9 1st flag on the OPI sure supports @Bash Riprockand many others claims. AWFUL call by this “all-star” crew. Quote
Irishman Posted February 9 Posted February 9 After the replays, I am ok with the call. The push looked to knock the DB off balance and create separation for the catch. To be honest, Brady complaining as a guy who is used to getting calls like that is funny. Now, for a missed call, I thought there was a clear push in the back on that 3rd and long for the Chiefs on the guy who was closest to Mahomes when he threw it. Quote
Sparty Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Take replay out of these bang bang plays when discussing imo have to see it like the on field officials the penalty on the chiefs is the one that is debatable Quote
Sparty Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Taylor Swift boo’ed mercilessly. President Donald Trump, 1st sitting POTUS to ever attend a SB in person, applauded thunderously. Commercials have been mid at best. Loving the Eagles lead so far. Quote
Irishman Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Texted one of my brother before the snap on the pick 6 when Mahomes was sacked twice that this could get out of hand. Eagles defense is dominating. They are getting to Mahomes with just a 4 man rush. Quote
Bobref Posted February 10 Author Posted February 10 Maybe this will give us a reprieve for a couple of years from that “Mahomes is the G.O.A.T.” nonsense. 1 1 Quote

Irishman Posted February 10 Posted February 10 The Eagles have continued to dominate. Very impressive Quote

PHJIrish Posted February 10 Posted February 10 The better team won and if I had a vote for MVP it would go to the Eagles defense. They were outstanding all night. The one stat that the entire TV crew didn't mention, or mention much, was the Chiefs had only one first down the entire first half! But, of course, the MVP normally goes to the winning QB, and Jalen Hurts was equally outstanding. It was no fluke, as the Eagles scored 95 points in their last two games, and you're not going to lose much scoring 47.5 ppg. Halftime was mediocre, and the commercials were not the quality of days past. 2 Quote
Muda69 Posted February 10 Posted February 10 (edited) I didn't watch. So I take it the Eagles won? That's surprising. Edited February 10 by Muda69 Quote

I have heard debates but never Mahomes is the G.O.A.T like Bob said. Quote
Coach Nowlin Posted February 10 Posted February 10 I got what I wanted: POINTS !!! Thank You very much I also attended my super bowl party at Park and Field: I chose to continue to support the Crew in Vertical Stripes, however, to the Jameson Girls/Eagle fans, I had to explain to them my Stripes were not becasue of Chiefs, but because I was here to support a much maligned entity for the last month, the NFL Refs, so they needed my support: Brought Whistle as well, but my Flags were back at school. For every call, I stood up and explained why it was great, some with a toot of whistle, some without. An outstanding time of friends and fellowship was had. Mahomes at 29, needs to go 5-1 in his next 6 super bowls to catch Tom Brady. yea..... good luck with that. ALSO: This is what Pat Mahomes looks like behind the Bears OL, for those still yapping about Bears and missing out on Mahomes. Just saying VERY VERY HAPPY for Vic Fangio, a fine NFL coach and someone worth rooting for to get their RING Quote
Sparty Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Aren’t you begging for the bears to sign one of those chiefs OL? Quote
Coach Nowlin Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Yes, the RG who did not allow 1 sack all year, not sure about last night, but yes, 28 year old Trey Smith Unlike most dolts, 1 game does not indicate future poor performances, body of work shall do. Quote
Sparty Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Explain it to this “dolt” as you claim I am, how that would be a bonus if he is part of the chiefs o line that just got skull dragged? On the biggest stage, he shit the bed and some bears fans want to run out and throw money at him? Seems logical. Quote

I thought they had a fine game, including the replay official, Indiana’s own Kevin Brown. 2 Quote
PHJIrish Posted February 10 Posted February 10 I always remember the remark by Duane Thomas of the Dallas Cowboys, many years ago. "If this is the "ultimate game" why are they playing it again next year." Not a direct quote, but close enough. The SB has become another overblown event, imho. 2 Quote
