From what I hear, 1/2 of that equation is possible. The other wants nothing to do with the MIC, I'm told. They're happy being independent. Source would be in the know.

Current MIC members have extreme remorse on this decision.

At least they were able to claim some mythical “conference championships” in sports normally dominated by Carmel and Center Grove.

Not a rumor that the rivalry is coming back (that was known), but "HPG" trying to insinuate it will lead to the re-formation of the 8-team MIC.
