Trojanmp52 Posted August 3, 2025 Posted August 3, 2025 Why don’t more schools play in this league? I would think if you were a high school coach you would to see your youth team play in this league. I don’t know but is there other local travel ball team leagues out there for school to play in? Quote

It's $1200 per team to be in it. 2. There are just 9 teams in it now, and travel time and cost are factors for a number of programs. 3. They only allow teams in that feed into 1 high school, so that eliminates Perry Township, Lawrence Township, and IPS teams. 4. Not every school district has a travel team. Quote

Back when my son played, Lawrence, Perry, and Fishers/HSE all had teams. Those all feed into 2 different high schools Edited August 4, 2025 by Southside Quote
Southside Posted August 4, 2025 Posted August 4, 2025 There were 17 teams in 2017. Here's a screenshot from the 2017 IEFA website. https://www.leaguelineup.com/standings_football.asp?url=iefafootballscores Quote

Irishman Posted August 4, 2025 Posted August 4, 2025 This is what I referred to (Part B specifically): With open enrollment, it seems based on this that the districts I mentioned would have been excluded. Quote

It also reads that a they can write and request a waiver. I would think any high school coach that is working on building a program top to bottom would want this. As for the money 1200 per team is not a lot, most of this teams have at least 15 to 20 kids on them so you are looking at less they 100 at kids, as for travel to games half of them are home games so you just going to your school or where you play your rec league games at anyway.
