But if they want to be playing late into November, they need to sharpen up the passing attack. They’re not going to be able to just line up and play bully ball against really good 6A teams. The Indy fan base, and Rodney, is struggling to accept how good of a coach Buzea is. Crown Point fits in nicely with the best of the HHC. Quote

Yes. This is not a unique situation, nor the fault of Crown Point. I am guilty in my own poll but can't punish teams for beating the teams in front of them. It is hard with a straight face to insert a 6-3 HCC/MIC team over a 9-0 Crown Point (or whomever else is not an Indy area 6A school) in my rankings. Quote

No fault of Crown Point, but the Red Devils are 0-3 and have not even been competitive save for a couple of quarters against a BD team that seems young. No excuses BUT it was also stated that Pike's QB is banged up. Just now, 23andCounting said: Lol, I always screw those two up. So they wouldn't "compete?" CP and Carroll help elevate it, but the North is still not the monster that 6A South has been for over 2 decades now. Quote

I might be on board with putting Merrillville in that #15 area based on there performance against CP. Was that game really ever competitive? The final score doesn't look bad, but I wanna say they were playing from way behind the entire game. I have no axe to grind with Merrillville. In fact, I'd love to see this team win 5A for their outstanding community of football fans. I just have my reservations. Anytime they play a good time, they seem to lose by double digits. But hey, maybe this year's team is different. Depends how you view the game. Merrillville sent them backward the first 2-3 drives. and were easily moving the ball down field. Merrillville was running ball to outsides very well. But then when they got to a 3rd and 1 2 straight drives they tried to throw deep instead of taking what was given to them. That’s coaching. But also Merrillville wouldn’t allow there very mobile QB to use his legs the first half that’s a game changer. It was 13-0 at half. crown point literally just lined Gibbs up under center in 1st half after Jere offense did nothing and just basically ran a Gibbs push from under center that averaged like 5-7 yards a carry. Every time Merrillville shut down something they went back to Gibbs under center. Thats how I viewed it. But to each their own. Merrillville put up over 350 yards in just the 4th qtr almost. they found what worked to late but they pulled it close in 4th. I left with 7 mins to go it was 28-7. I got home with 2 mins to go it was 28-21. Not sure how or what happened. Just know ther eQB threw for over 290 in the 4th. They are missing a OT and 2 WRs but not sure that would have made a difference ce Merrillville coaches not being able to adjust to Gibbs and not allowing there offense to play off each other ruined it. but outside of Gibbs im not impressed with bulldogs at all. They gotta find something or the duneland will rely on Merrillville to make a run in 5A Quote

They're reaping what they sowed by firing Richards. Merrillville's JV will be getting some good minutes on Friday night. Not sure Merrillville puts the jv in lol they don’t have a back up QB. As there back up QB is a starting WR right now. They gotta work with the O-line id keep the varsity offense on the rest of year. Snider's cracked that code one time, you think DC will do it in one year? Gimme a break. Destroying Merrillville 28-0 is far more impressive than Avon barely beating DC...........sorry. Fishers is a good football program, but they don't impress me as much as Crown Point does, especially with Buzea running the show. What has Fishers done over the last five years that CP hasn't done? They lose in the playoffs by double digits every year.................but I guess that's okay as long as you're not from the north. Losing to by 25 points do them no favors when trying to say they are better than Crown Point. I'd bet massive money that CP shows better against Carmel than a 25 point deficit. Don't debate me on this Temp, I'll crush you and Rodney at the same time :). 1 Quote

East Central would have walked all over CP in 22 or 23. Chatard and cathedral would have as well Quote
