If it's going to be a possession game, Pioneer will likely win that struggle.  And they are a team that is geared to do it, has practiced it all season, and has it in their DNA from several seasons.

Sorry, I meant capitalize on a turnover … which South Putnam did with a scoop & score. Eagles now pulling away. 34-14 end of 3rd.

That’s a bit harsh, but it was a clear miss by the crew. I won’t get too deeply into the weeds of the mechanics, but discussed it with the crew after the game and talked about how we make sure we get that one. Sh*t happens.

Of course…didn’t mean to imply it was a poorly officiated game (as I didn’t think it was)- but that’s a BIG one to miss in that spot.

It’s not a fair catch, but the ball is declared dead as soon as it is possessed by a member of the receiving team. By giving a fair catch signal, the receivers give up their right to advance the ball when they possess it.
