I went to the Salem/NH game. Salem is pretty good this year.

Perry Central Vs Tell City

The stream didn't have a scoreboard, and I lost track, but MaxPreps has the score at 49-6 and that seems about right.

Perry struggled in pretty much every phase. Perry has decent athletes at both quarterback and tailback, so hopefully they can figure out a way to get those guys out in the open where they can make some moves. Seems like tonight their tailback had TC defenders in his face as soon as he got the ball in most instances. Watching the scrimmage, Perry can be effective in the short-to-medium passing game. I think with some more reps and experience, they can get their offense going. Hopefully before their conference schedule kicks in here in a couple of weeks.

The defense is more of a work in progress. Obviously, with that point total, they did not look good. But it's early, and sometimes, especially with a young crew, the first run-in with varsity speed is an eye-opening experience.

Also, hats off to Tell City. They played tough and physical and didn't hurt themselves. Think they have a shot to win quite a few games this year.

I have watched the Brownstown film from this evening. We looked good, especially all things considered.

It could have been 14-7 at half.. 14-0 probably if not for that late fumble by Corydon. This is not last years BC team. Be ready for a quick exit from the tournament this year. Not impressed by the Braves tonight. The onside kick by Reed should have been seen coming after half. I am leaning towards taking Daniels over Reed next week. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I expect Valley to drop SEVERAL games this season. They did not get any better losing the seniors from last season and I think the schedule is a bit more formidable. 5 losses is my guess… and before any says too much. I was tough on em last season too and the post season proved me correct. A team with a pulse they struggle. Easy to look good vs really bad teams.

Hmmhh.. BC was 2 yards away from making it 28-0 at the half. I missed when Corydon threatened to score... at all?

No kidding this isn't BCs team from last year lol... "be ready for a quick exit in the tourney this year" name names.. who's that team that sends BC packing early? 

Here's the sectional-- Providence, Mitchell, Pekin, Salem, Brown Co, Switz Co, Clarksville.. 

Replacing 17 starters from our best team ever? And 4 rotational guys out right now from injury, rotating in 5 SOs, week 1 on the road, vs a senior laden Corydon team.. being up 35-0 with 16 mins to go in the game... yes, all things considered. 

It wasn't an onside kick to start the half.. its a squib kick.. Conyer is just really good at that. Did it in the semi state last year, too.

You guys are winning that sectional. But the best team on the list you just named is probably Salem. I’m obviously a Floyd Central fan but also a Salem supporter and their football team looks very solid. Big offensive line. Really well fundamentally executing team. I don’t think NH is very good this season. But Salem looked solid tonight.

No one expects Brownstown to lose a weak sectional but regional/semi state.. I don’t see a repeat to LOS.

I don't particularly care who anyone takes. I'm not sure what point you're trying to prove there. 

"Corydon driving" they fumbled at the 50 lol CC had 1 first down the entire 1st half and like 3 the entire game.. but yes, you are wrong.. that was the 4th score-- the fade to Trueblood. Braves went and scored after the fumble, then got another stop.. and came 2 yards from scoring again. None of this is homer.. its fact. 

Brownstown losing in the regional or semi state isn’t a quick exit 😅😅

"I don't see a repeat to LOS" -- what a limb you're willing to go out on. 

All of this about two comments that stated-- "a team that should improve every week" and another "I thought Brownstown looked good all things considered"... someone here got worked up.

That’ll be a great game. Charlestown has a pretty good team as well. I like their QB a lot. The winner of that game should…win the MSC.

Should be a good one. One of the Braves strengths is their secondary so will hopefully be a good match up.

Just seen injuries in Paoli game has caused paoli to cancel JV Monday against Jennings County. Hopefully Paolis numbers aren't that bad and they can get some in. On other hand if you're looking for a JV may call Jennings County.
