Apparently Indiana University fans/homers are angry the Colts didn't take any IU players in the 2026 draft.  Especially the Colts picking an Oregon LB over Aiden Fisher.

How bad is it when the team is better off just cutting you rather than trading? I get it's likely no one bit on any trade offers, but damn; adjust what you are askingfor in return???

I think the problem with Moore is that a team would have had to pick up his $9.5M salary this season....unless the Colts were willing to pay a portion not to have him on the roster.  I don't think any team was willing to pay that amount, and correct me if I am mistaken, but he's been released for a week with no one jumping in to date.....

Biggest question for the Colts in the upcoming season is the health of it's star and Jonathon Taylor's contract:  https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/columnists/gregg-doyel/2026/06/17/colts-2026-nfl-season-daniel-jones-achilles-alec-pierce-ankle-jonathan-taylor-contract/90523636007/

The landmines for the 2026 Indianapolis Colts are there, buried in some cases, right out in the open in others. And in one case the landmine sits there innocently, concealed by a big smile and hopeful words, but there nonetheless. We’ve seen it detonate before. Will it explode again, and sabotage another Colts season?

The Colts’ margin for error for the 2026 NFL season is tight, as it has been every year since Andrew Luck retired in August 2019, but we’ve never seen this franchise enter a season where the margin between success and failure feels so precarious, so ominous.

The issue is the Colts’ personnel, of course, but not in the classic sense. It’s not about an unproven cornerback like Justin Walley being asked to handle a major role, or about veteran receivers (Ashton Dulin, Laquon Treadwell) being asked to do more than they’ve ever shown they can. It’s not about fourth-round 2025 NFL Draft pick Jalen Travis replacing Braden Smith at right tackle.

It’s much, much scarier than that.

It’s three of the team’s biggest stars – QB1 Daniel Jones, WR1 Alec Pierce and defensive leader DeForest Buckner – returning from major surgeries. It’s a fourth player, cornerback Charvarius Ward, returning from three concussions. And it’s a fifth player, the best of them all, entering the final year of his current contract and already lobbying publicly for his next one.

Remember what happened the last time running back Jonathan Taylor wanted a new deal?

The Colts have entered the quiet phase of their offseason, the month-long wait for the start of training camp at Grand Park in Westfield, and the quiet doesn’t feel refreshing. It feels dangerous, the gentle wind that blows shortly before the tornado arrives.

...

The injury recovery stuff is what it is. Colts management can't do much about it.   But this Taylor contract issue could blow up in their face real fast.   I hope they pay him what he's worth.
