Donnie Baker Posted yesterday at 12:38 AM Posted yesterday at 12:38 AM Only surprise this week was North Vermillions shredding the little rubbers. Kudos to The Tenderloins for not totally destroying the Ponies. Earl should get his first coaching win this week and the Loins will probably light it up with Seegers. WRC123 Posted yesterday at 01:13 PM Posted yesterday at 01:13 PM Covington @ FC - Battle of the injuries in this one. Rumor I'm hearing is that Covington's qb hurt is knee against Poly and they are not sure if he'll be back this season. Not only has FC lost the older Foxworthy due to blowing his knee out in the summer they have now lost the younger Foxworthy too. A dirty blindside block last week on him sent him to the hospital. I think this will be a low scoring game FC 24 Covington 20 PH @ Attica - Maybe the Wolves are the real deal. They will start 3-1 for the first time since Moore left. The passing game of the Wolves has surprised me. Maybe Rector is prepping for the next couple years when he has the 8th grade qb. He'll be the best player in the conference as a freshman and would start at qb for every WRC school right now. PH by as much as they want. RP @ Seeger - Panthers started slow last week. I think most of it was from all the emotions from retiring #30. I don't see them starting slow this week. They will get out in front early. Running clock in the second half 56-14 SV @ NV - NV surprised me with last weeks win. The Hinchee kid at qb is legit and will be one of the best players in the WRC soon. SV looks to bounce back from a game it sounds like they had won until a couple late penalties. The two qbs will battle it out this week and I think SV has better athletes and will be more hungry after last week. Wildcats 28-22 Quote
Richard C Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Covington @ FC- Coach Earl is going to get his first win this week. Not sure what happened last week against the Falcons but it definitely surprised me. I think FC is doing the right things, just not sure what they are going to be able to do without Foxworthy. Hopefully he will be back to finish his conference run because there are some more winnable games on the schedule for FC. Give me the Mustangs by a score. PH @ Attica- PH might be the real deal and may give the Panthers a run for their money for first place in the conference. I think the week 8 match up between the Woofs and the Loins is going to be the game of the year in the WRC. Attica is still on the struggle bus. The Rox by as many as they want. RP @ Seeger- The Panthers had some slow starts this year but it seems like they can flip that switch whenever they want to. Saw the stats from Friday night and it looked like the Lesniak kid was back and getting some carries. Not sure who #2 is for the Panthers but he's only a sophomore and going to be a stud. RP is better than Seeger up front but with Seeger having athletes and slinging the ball around I think this could be a good game. Give me the Panthers by a score. SV @ NV- NV pulled off the the upset last week, I think everyone in this thread thought that Covington would win that. SV lost a heartbreaker Friday that could have been won with a field goal... I think Hinche is going to do his thing against the Visors defense but the Kittys have too many athletes. Miller and his crew are going to win this game by at least 2 scores. Quote
KDumbwitty Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Covington @ FC - What a string of bad luck for the Mustangs. And interesting comment on Covington's QB WRC123. It appears he didn't play against NV either. I would like to see the play that knocked the FC QB out bc I was told it was a "bang bang" borderline play on a punt, not a malicious blindside hit as stated. Unfortunate, for sure. If both QB's are out, give me FC. They have the best athlete on the field in Bachelor. FC 24-12 PH @ Attica - I'm still on the PH train. They'll handle business and probably do so until they see RP later this season. And I think they can stand toe-to-toe with RP based on how the season has gone so far. PH 50 - 6 RP @ Seeger - As much as I'd love to see this be a competitive game, I think RP is probably better than Carrol, who controlled the Seeger game. I love the Seeger offense, but too many clock stops combined with the RP run game spells bad news in 2026. I wrote it last week and I'll write it again - Where does RP get all these kids? Lesniak came back last week and had multiple TD's, along with Pope. Seriously, the kid has touched the ball like 12 times and has 5 TD's. RP 46 - 14 SV @ NV - Is SV the most underachieving team in the conference thus far in 2026? And is NV the most overachieving through three games? Who would have thought through three weeks that NV and SV would have had the same number of passing yards? It's a toss-up, so give me SV and their all-world QB. SV 35-24 Quote
Marshall Mathers Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Covington vs FC - Definitely surprised on the Covington/NV game last week. Hinchee was very impressive, and Covington without their QB will struggle. I didn't get a chance to see the hit on the FC QB, but heard it was away from the play and completely unnecessary. It isn't the first time an RP player has sent a kid to the hospital on a dirty hit like this. Give me an FC trick play for the W 22-13. PH vs Attica - PH wins this by what they want, but I'm not completely sold on them yet. WRC is weak enough this year that they will win some more games, but I don't want to say they will give RP a run for their money just yet. 47-6. RP vs Seeger - May be close for the first 3 minutes, but RP will destroy Seeger up front and get to Salts all night. With Seegers lack of a running game, this will be a blow out unless Seeger can win their 1 on 1s quickly against cover 0. 54-13. SV vs NV - This will be a good battle early between the two QBs. Hinchee is showing his arm is very good, and Shryock has been a lot more involved with his legs this year. SV's running game alone will be enough to win this game, but if they figure out their passing game it wont be within 3 scores. 35-13. Quote
Bear54 Posted 43 minutes ago Posted 43 minutes ago Week 4... Covington @ Fountain Central - Gonna be tough for both teams without their starting QBs. The Trojans had last week won. The Mustangs kept fighting after a scary situation. Word is he is gonna be fine. I've seen the hit. The block was right in front of the returner. Unnecessary? Probably. (It was flagged, also.) But not dirty or blindsided as indicated by some. (I'll just go ahead and ask the question... Why is your starting QB a coverage guy on the Punt team?) Anyways, this will be a close game. I'll take coach Earl to get his first win. 24-14 Parke Heritage @ Attica - The Ramblers came back to reality after playing a team with a pulse. I want to believe they're improved, just not seeing it yet. The Woolfs survived a scare from the Junior Visors. I don't think we can crown them just yet. That should've been a blowout. Pretty sad state of affairs in Rockville if they believe their best high school football player is an 8th grader. Anyways, they'll get to pad those passing stats this week. 41-13 Riverton Parke @ Seeger - Panther starters began to get pulled in the second quarter last week, even after the unsteady start. Two weeks in a row they've railed off 40+ points after being down early. Is this just this team's MO? Slow starts? Might get them in a bind some day. The Patriots did whatever they wanted to last week, against Attica. This week may be a different story. I think they can make it interesting against RP, but their lack of running game and dudes up front will ultimately hurt them. 48-22 South Vermillion @ North Vermillion - Good fight by the Junior Visors at Rockville last week. But the decision making needs to get better. May I suggest kicking a field goal when down by 1 in the last minutes of the 4th quarter? Falcons reminded me of their old selves fighting back and stealing one from Covington last week. Could be something brewing in Northern Vermillion county. I'm taking the home team in this one. 28-24 Quote
ThePrince Posted 18 minutes ago Posted 18 minutes ago Covington @ Fountain Central - Might end in a tie 0-0 If by 10-15 yards away from the ball carry who was on the sideline and the hit was in the middle of the field I would say you are correct. Obviously @Bear54 and @KDumbwitty are Panthers. It was in every way a blindsided, dirty and illegal hit. If the game was anywhere but RP he would've been ejected. Two weeks in a row of it too... Not all WRC teams are as blessed as the mighty Panthers and have 50+ kids on their roster. Most teams in our conference can't afford to take an athlete off the field because the drop off in talent/strength is too drastic. So what will you guys blame it on when it happens next week? My guess is that you guys are just too good and strong for the WRC. Maybe the WIC or the MIC would be a better fit. Parke Heritage @ Attica - PH wins by as much as they want. Riverton Parke @ Seeger - RP wins by as much as they want. South Vermillion @ North Vermillion - SV by a couple scores. Quote
