Just checked the websites and it looks like 1010 WCSI will have the game. It’ll be weird hearing their broadcasts without Sam Simmermaker.

We have a similar hall of famer  by the name Joe Smith who has called high schools in bloomington for decades also retiring at least I hope he is retiring. He was getting pretty bad in his old age. Was difficult listening to him through a whole game the last couple years.

I think I remember you talking about that last year. Is that the same Joe Smith that used to be on the halftime radio broadcasts of IU basketball games?

I don't know how Jeffersonville does it? 5 transfers on their team. 2 from Charlestown. 1 from Louisville St X. 1 from Louisville Eastern. 1 from Louisville Manual. Every freaking year they bring kids over in Football and Basketball. Sometimes in the middle of the season. And bam, they're always eligible! Floyd Central has 1 kid from Louisville who is extremely good, but can't play until week 5. And he came here last season. Sick of these ridiculous rules.

How does this even happen? I have an uncle from that area and he said you guys had a kicker transfer in who hasn't ever played a varsity sport and they denied him to play!?!?

Never listened to IU football on the radio. Can you blame me though? 😂

I did some while in high school we had bill Mallory and some really tough teams. since then I've sort of despised the iu sports administration still do somewhat. Not a fan of any of their sports at the moment. Football is only gonna get worse with the addition of usc ucla oregon and Washington in the b1g. I seem to relish and lather in an iu loss in modern days  so hope to see more teams swatting them around

I was an IU fan until Bob Knight got fired. Hasn’t felt the same since then, even with him finally returning a few years ago. Great moment but I’ve moved on.

Any BNL fans on here that can give a little insight if any on BNL transfer sr 290 lb LT Junior Arellano who transferred to South. I haven't seen much on him except that he was two-year starter at BNL.

Does columbus east do the live stream of their games? Youtube?

It's going to be crowded in the press box at Mooresville. WGCL, WVNI and WHCC are all covering the North game plus whoever is covering Mooresville. WCLS is covering the Brown County and Owen Valley game. You would think at least one of those stations would cover the South game.

New year more of the same old tactics. We have been chirping posts like this for a handful of years now. Joe Smith is officially retired now?

After a turnover on downs in Bloomington South turnover, South marches down the field but gets stuffed on the goal line on 3rd down. They settle for a field goal and lead 3-0 with 2:05 left in the first.
