DanteEstonia Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 To add, Indiana's teachers could opt out of Social Security and into a system like Alaska's, but we don't hear @Irishman or @Coach Nowlin clamoring for change.

Can you please provide a link to that Indiana legislation? As far as I can tell Indiana is not one of the 15 states that decades ago decided to have it's teachers and/or state employees opt out of social security in exchange for a public sector defined pension.

You are correct, Indiana is NOT a State that allows teachers to opt out. 1
