Bash Riprock
Prayers out to the families of the deceased and severely injured, the Indiana State University football program, and the entire university family. Such a tragic event that is so difficult to comprehend. I believe ISU has a press conference at 5pm EST. Universities all over the country have been reaching out to ISU. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/34441664/two-indiana-state-football-players-3-killed-single-vehicle-crash https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/two-indiana-state-football-players-among-three-people-killed-in-single-vehicle-crash/ https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2022/08/22/indiana-state-football-players-killed-car-crash/7865300001/

Muda69
Report: Severe weather, speeding, drinking played role in crash that killed ISU students: https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/college/2022/08/23/indiana-state-football-students-killed-accident-weather-speeding-drinking-crash/65415853007/ Quote The crash report detailing the single-vehicle accident that resulted in the death of three Indiana State students and the serious injuries of two others says that severe weather, excessive speed and alcohol played a role in the driver losing control of the vehicle and hitting a tree. The report, written by Vigo County sheriff’s officer Bernie McGee, indicates that there were thunderstorms and heavy rain at the time of the accident, along with 3-4 inches of standing water. Officers were called to the area of 46th and Main Street in Terre Haute at 1:36 a.m. with a report of a vehicle fire with entrapment. One of the students in the car who survived the accident told officers that the five students were traveling back to Indiana State from a house party at Indiana University in Bloomington, and that “everyone had been drinking” at the party and that they were going in excess of 90 miles per hour at the time of the accident. Indiana State freshmen Caleb VanHooser and Christian Eubanks, along with sophomore Jayden Musili, were pronounced dead at the scene. Omarion Dixon and John Moore are in serious condition at Methodist Hospital. VanHooser, Eubanks, Dixon and Moore are listed on Indiana State’s football roster.

I think about some of the mistakes I made back at that time of my life....young, indestructable, and lacking vulnerability. No one should have to pay this kind of price. I think about parents and family celebrating their futures, struggling to let go of their children as they headed off to college....only now to be planning their funerals. I can't imagine....I don't want to imagine. Truly, a parent's absolute worst nightmare. Prayers to the boys that passed...prayers for boys that have survived...and prayers to all of their families and loved ones.

Bash Riprock
Really nice update on Lafayette Harrison’s Omarion Dixon, one of the survivors of the horrific crash. Long road back for Dixon, but my money is on this young man. But they got paid something like a cool $500,000 for the contest. Which is a large amount of money for a school the size of ISU.
