  1. Congrats to "The Hurricane" on a great career.
  2. Not really a surprise by any means. My understanding is a lot of applicants looked as the job as a 2-4 year stepping stone to bigger programs either around the area (OH) etc.. One of key questions during process was future plans and level of comfort in area. Younger guy with a great opportunity in a great community. Will be interesting to see changes in offensive/defensive philosophy. Maybe no more early morning headaches for Stink Town Clown from all the "spinning"... at least from the film.
  3. Heard an announcement should be made this week.
  4. Probably a few weeks before an announcement.
  5. http://www.foxsports.com/college-football/story/alabama-crimson-tide-wr-gehrig-dieter-star-transfer-mac-bowling-green-021316 Huge move for Indiana and I'm sure lots of hard work. Congrats to Gehrig and family. Tough road to get that point. Two years of eligibility.
  6. I'd rather have an 8-12 year career and struggle with the higher % of disease and make millions than tear my leg up and never be the same player in said career because some jabroni was "looking out for me."
  7. It's 50/50... we criticize the refs for being to flag happy and then we criticize them for when we don't make the calls? While I agree it should've been a "no more" situation after the first scuffle I'm sure the group of refs logic was we'll call the game how it should be called any extra curricular stuff can be handled by the league. I don't blame the refs for anything other than letting it happen consistently.
  8. It's possible - but I don't think it's a good fit.
  9. A lot of great memories circling around in the last 24 hours with myself and a few former players including one that includes getting chewed out in front of a class for posting something that didn't represent Batesville Football how it should be on this forum. I appreciate what the entire group of coaches have done for me personally specifically Coach Heppner & Coach Nobbe who not a lot of people know - but I am positive is (was) one of the best JV Head coaches in the state. Big loss for the school from a coaching standpoint. As far as candidates I'm not sure they already have a guy in place as was the case with the Basketball program a few years back. It will be interesting to see if they can bring in someone or keep someone who the community will stand behind which is always a tough thing to do in Batesville.
  10. A huge congrats to East Central and Coach Roden. Wish I could make the trip next weekend.
  11. Can any of the Chatard faithful let me know if champ7 will be at the game? He still owes me a Diet Mountain Dew.
  12. Classic. Think SD would have a real shot at the EIAC crown this year if he kept that sucker alive and brought it in a bag to all of the games via Jake "The Snake" Roberts.
  13. Locked TopicGATE, Who Really is STCGATE, STC at Boggie Nights videoGATE, Lawrenceburg play by play announcer.... announcerGATE.... list could go on. The potential!
  14. ND probably feels like ish. It goes from a semi-rebuilding year to almost a full one. This years ND team might test out the "OLine and DLine win games" quote. Not sure why Gunner would have any feeling towards it. He made the right decision in leaving ND. Even if he stayed -- it's clear Kelly preferred a more dual-threat type QB. ND has another stud in Malik Zaire who I'm sure will get the start from Day 1.
