That was an awful choke job by the Buckeyes! I guess they thought like me that the game was over after 3 quarters!! It ain't over 'til it's over! Arch look real pedestrian for three quarters and then looked like a Manning in the 4th!
-
Just more examples of Ryan Day's hubris.
-
And two other times they go for it on 4th and miss when the odds say kick the FG.
-
23-3. Unreal chokejob by Ohio State. Game should have been over when Texas needed that miracle 4th down pass by Arch where he threw across his body. Game should have been over with Ohio State going up 9 instead of the kicker completely pissing down his leg on that last FG attempt.

Just pointing out all the close losses (that could all be wins). If they were 4-0 they would be in first in the conference. If all we are looking at is SOS, HH has 229 rated and GS has 176 rated. So what does this mean?

I may have been a bit premature! The 'Horns has scored twice to narrow the deficit to just 6 points with plenty of time left, 7:14!
-
The Irish were 44 point favorites today against Rice. They covered that and gave a lot of backups some playing time in the process. It was a 52-0 win. I'd like to see Rice play Howard.
-
IMO, if Arch Manning's last name was Johnson, Smith, Brown or Jones, he wouldn't get much pub. He's serviceable but not top echelon. tOSU is showing the 'Horns how to play the game tonight. There's still a fourth quarter to be played but it doesn't look good for the home team.

North has the 33rd toughest schedule. North Central (Indy) has the 4th. Both are 1-3. North Central is ranked much higher in the Sagarin ratings. But yes, North appears to be a very average SIAC team right now.

Looked like North had the lead very late in the 4th last night until Reitz scored a touchdown with under 10 seconds left in the game.
-
Just looking at scores, is North the best or one of the best 1-3 teams in the entire state? Lost by 3 to Castle at the 1 yard line, lost by 4 to Memorial with key turnovers, and by 4 to Reitz. Those three teams are a combined 11-1. what about Harrison? Scrappy play and opportunity football had them in both games with North and Castle. SIAC is always interesting.

On an SIAC note, I’m hearing that Memorial alum Branson Combs will be starting at LB for the Jacksonville Jaguars tomorrow. What a journey for him: - He gets only 1 scholarship offer from SIU (which was puzzling, Branson was dominant in HS). - Becomes an ILB for the first time, gaining about 25 lbs. - Plays his way to a Wake Forest offer for his final season. - Goes undrafted, signed by JAX. Makes their practice squad in Year 1. - Falcons try to pick him up off the Jags’ PS. Jags protect him by putting him on 53 as a rookie. - Plays ST in Year 1 - Set to start at LB for Week 1 of his second year.
