  1. Past hour
  2. Its a long drive.....time to live like most of the conferences in Indiana. See above the PAC has figured it out....why can't Penn? Probably schedule those games for a Saturday in your other sports. Long drives aren't stopping schools with way less resources than Penn from finding a conference with more balanced competion.
  3. I'm not going to argue with you about distances of schools , but comparing a 41 mile drive from Carmel to CG in Indy traffic, to 88 miles from Penn to Crown Point or Lake Central in Chicago traffic is funny . I've been to a Friday night game at Lake Central , it took well over 3 Hours to get there .
  4. Exactly.... Correct me if I'm wrong, but Penn only has one conference opponent in another county....and its Elkhart. Which is probably a 30 minute drive tops.
  5. The Pocket Athletic Conference extends across Perry, Spencer, Dubois, Warrick, Gibson, Pike, and Posey counties. ETA: Forgot Daviess County now that Washington is in the conference.
  6. The travel times would be comparable or even shorter than several other conferences in Indiana. My guess is the longest drive would be to LC....a shade under 2 hours depending on traffic (which is long). Most DAC schools are closer. Penn has lived in the cocoon of never having to drive across more than one couny line for an NIC game for several decades. Get over yourselves.... Do you know how many conferences extend across 4 or more counties? Do you know what conference Richmond is in???? Do you know which schools are in the Sagamore conference??? Do you know what the driving time is from Carmel to Center Grove on a weeknight with 465 traffic? Give me a break....
  7. And my point is ,in most of the years of those blowout State losses, Penn was playing in state and out of state powerhouse teams . How did it work out for them ?
  8. And you said it right to her face!
  9. Why did Roncalli and Cathedral stop playing each other in the regular season? Cathedral has space for Southport, but not Roncalli?
  10. The Harrison game was definitely a head-scratcher...
  11. @gonzoron the pick 'em king. We all know what his favorite prediction league is though.
  12. Today
  13. Cass at Manchester Maconaquah at Whitko Peru at Northwestern Rochester at Clinton Prairie Southwood at Northfield
  14. Covington @ Fountain Central The Woofs @ Attica Riverton Parkes @ Seegers South Vermillions @ North Vermillions
  15. Week 4 Schedule BNL (2-1, 1-0 HHC) at New Albany (1-2, 0-0 HHC) 5A #5/#6 Floyd Central (3-0, 0-0 HHC) at Seymour (0-3, 0-2 HHC) Jennings County (2-1) at Columbus East (1-2) Kokomo (0-3) at Jeffersonville (1-2)
  16. Castle barely beat North -- North literally fumbled away the win. North barely beat Harrison. Just sayin'
  17. 1. Considering the starting QB is one of the better athletes, I'd say it's pretty necessary.. especially with a team that has less than 25 kids on the roster. Put too many inexperienced/jv players on punt you give up punt returns. 2. Definitely a tough call. I did get a chance to watch this game. Their kicker did hit both PAT's previously, but this kick was another 10ish yards deep from a hash. I think they just took a chance with their all-conference QB and failed.
  18. Musta missed that...
  19. Probably not, going camping this weekend. And I don't think it will be close, the Zebras should win easily. And even better at Prairie's field the visitor bleachers face East, so Rochester fans won't get the brunt of the setting sun. If you are looking for good food before the game I recommend the Oasis, on SR39 south in between Frankfort and Antioch. Best BPT in Clinton county.
  20. But everyone isn't Tango. There was a news story about how they were so beaten down due to injuryies last year that this year was going to be a big rebound.
  21. The do that for multiple rivaly games throughout the area. They do the Princeton Gibson Southern game each year.....which is a little more appropriate as they are starving for a win.
  22. Big game at Clinton Prairie Friday night Mr. Muda. Any chance we will see you there? I know you are pretty faithful to Frankfort, but should be a good matchup Friday between the Gophers and Zebras. First possibly only matchup ever between the two. History will be made Friday.
  23. Or "WPPTT Bowl" - The "We Pay Property Taxes Too Bowl", which to me is far better than "The Hunger Bowl" that the Knights of Columbus somehow pushed through a few years ago. Its a great cause (St. Vincent dePaul Food Bank), but goofy name for a football game unless Jennifer Lawrence is there with the game ball...
  24. Mater Dei (+10.5) Reitz Tecumseh (-10.5) Henderson County (+28.5) Southridge (+21.5) South Spencer (+28.5) Tell City (+28.5) Princeton (+28.5) Perry Central Vincennes
  25. Cass at Manchester Maconaquah at Whitko Peru at Northwestern Rochester at Clinton Prairie Southwood at Northfield
  26. I don't remember there being much hype..(?) I kinda expected there would be a some growing pains with a new QB replacing Morgan and losing Bobe at WR. I personally don't think there is a whole lot to take away from the results in the SIAC so far. I would say Reitz is the best. Central has some decent athletes but still has a long way to go. Bosse is going to struggle. Harrison gave North a scare, which is surprising. North coughed up two winnable games. We have a long way to go and need to get some injured guys back to beat anybody good. Haven't seen MD yet. Castle seems down a little from last year. 3 games this week intrigue me: Memorial at Mater Dei Reitz at North Boonville at Central
  27. Peru shocked the conference last week with a win over Cass. Interesting matchups this week. How do you see the conference right now? Who ya got this week? Cass at Manchester Maconaquah at Whitko Peru at Northwestern Rochester at Clinton Prairie Southwood at Northfield
