  1. Today
  2. Just pointing out all the close losses (that could all be wins). If they were 4-0 they would be in first in the conference. If all we are looking at is SOS, HH has 229 rated and GS has 176 rated. So what does this mean?
  3. Some of these spreads are nuts....NUTS
  4. Week 5 Pick’em Spread 🏈 Get your picks in by Friday @ 7 PM. Good luck! 👊 Crawford County (+46) @ Mitchell (-46) => This means Mitchell is favored by 46 points. Tecumseh (-62) @ Perry Central (+62) => This means Tecumseh is favored by 62 points. Jennings County (+31) @ Springs Valley (-31) Paoli (+28) @ West Washington (-28) Brownstown (-62) @ North Harrison (+62) Charlestown (-39) @ Providence (+39) Corydon (-21) @ Clarksville (+21) Salem (-3) @ Madison (+3) Scottsburg (+7) @ Silver Creek (-7) Bonus Game of the Week (For our guy @JQWL) Cloverdale (+4) @ North Daviess (-4)
  5. I may have been a bit premature! The 'Horns has scored twice to narrow the deficit to just 6 points with plenty of time left, 7:14!
  6. The Irish were 44 point favorites today against Rice. They covered that and gave a lot of backups some playing time in the process. It was a 52-0 win. I'd like to see Rice play Howard.
  7. IMO, if Arch Manning's last name was Johnson, Smith, Brown or Jones, he wouldn't get much pub. He's serviceable but not top echelon. tOSU is showing the 'Horns how to play the game tonight. There's still a fourth quarter to be played but it doesn't look good for the home team.
  8. Week 4 standings! 28 - Boilerfan87, WWFan, Bluejacket1 26 - PiratePride13, Baker64 24 - SuhMe 20 - Sparks 19 - IUFan 18 - Salem33, OldramDL, PirateForLife 14 - gonzoron
  9. The Cathedral/Bishop Chatard game was played for the KofC trophy. I noticed it was not there last night, at least those on the visitor's side didn't see it. What's up with that? It was a very nice trophy. BTW, Bishop Chatard won both JV and Freshman games today. I can't remember the exact scores.
  10. North has the 33rd toughest schedule. North Central (Indy) has the 4th. Both are 1-3. North Central is ranked much higher in the Sagarin ratings. But yes, North appears to be a very average SIAC team right now.
  11. Jennings County Linton-Stockton Park Tudor Rensselaer Central Southport

  13. Anyone else want to vote in small classes, large classes, or both? Send me a PM with your preferred email address for Google Sheets.
  14. Dang. They could easily be 4-0
  15. Sometimes, satire can be spot on.
  16. @hhpatriot04 big shifts in the Sagarin after last night.
  17. Bloomington South Bowman Academy Clarksville Columbus North Culver Academy Eastern (Pekin) Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian Henryville Indianapolis Cathedral Indianapolis Shortridge
  18. I updated the records. Looks like the next P/P trophy game is TBD.
  19. Looked like North had the lead very late in the 4th last night until Reitz scored a touchdown with under 10 seconds left in the game.
  20. Just looking at scores, is North the best or one of the best 1-3 teams in the entire state? Lost by 3 to Castle at the 1 yard line, lost by 4 to Memorial with key turnovers, and by 4 to Reitz. Those three teams are a combined 11-1. what about Harrison? Scrappy play and opportunity football had them in both games with North and Castle. SIAC is always interesting.
  21. On an SIAC note, I’m hearing that Memorial alum Branson Combs will be starting at LB for the Jacksonville Jaguars tomorrow. What a journey for him: - He gets only 1 scholarship offer from SIU (which was puzzling, Branson was dominant in HS). - Becomes an ILB for the first time, gaining about 25 lbs. - Plays his way to a Wake Forest offer for his final season. - Goes undrafted, signed by JAX. Makes their practice squad in Year 1. - Falcons try to pick him up off the Jags’ PS. Jags protect him by putting him on 53 as a rookie. - Plays ST in Year 1 - Set to start at LB for Week 1 of his second year.
  22. The top five were an easy choice......imo 1. Carroll - Impressive victories are adding up. Did they really drop 49 points on Dwengers defense or was I hallucinating? Good grief. 2. Dwenger - No fault in losing to the Chargers. Dwenger's standing is solid at #2. 3. Northrop - Impressive win over Homestead. The Bruins have assembled a nice collection of talent and it's showing in the win column. 4. East Noble - Nice comeback win over Dekalb. They continue to find ways to win, even if barely. 5. Homestead - Looked like the better team through one and a half quarters vs Northop. Not sure what happened after that........lost the live feed. The rest is a crapshoot at this point 6. Dekalb - Hard to ignore how good they looked last night against East Noble. 7. Eastside - Props to the small school. They just keep winning. 8. Columbia City - Nice victory over a solid Huntington North team. 9. Snider - Still looking for a quality win. They get their shot this week against Carroll. 10. Leo - Looking good so far............chance to move up this week after their showdown with East Noble. 11. Bluffton - The blowouts are adding up. 12. Adams Central - Need some high margin wins to keep this position. Some good teams right below them. 13. Huntington North - Two game skid, but both losses were to quality teams. 14. North Side - Lots of talent, but still looking for a quality win. 15. South Side - Nice looking win over Luers. Closing in Norwell and West Noble
  23. Opinions welcome: 1. Brownsburg 2. Westfield 3. Warren Central 4. Center Grove 5. Carmel 6. Lawrence North 7. Carroll 8. Avon 9. Ben Davis 10. Cathedral 11. Penn 12. Chatard 13. Crown Point 14. Columbus North Next team out: Columbia City, Columbus North, Decatur Central, Eastside, Franklin Central, Heritage Hills, Hobart, Homestead, Gibson Southern, Northridge, Northrop, Yorktown, Valpo, Warsaw
  24. 9-8 Scottsburg over Corydon. Both teams with with a safety. Corydon Freshman kicker pings it off the upright. Tough spot for a young dude to be in, he is super talented and with time will gain some confidence and drill those.
  25. I didn’t say it was. But EVERYONE south of I64 still says it about the SIAC…things haven’t been what they once were for some time now.
