  1. Past hour
  2. That was the hardest one! Oh I see an issue with the "s" in Cougars. Part of the facemask broke off. Must be a hard-hitter.
  3. North Daviess looks accurate. Haven't seen the rest.
  4. Don't forget about the chain stripe!
  5. The Dogs were just trying to save the lives of a few squirrels by keeping you up late Friday night. I heard you're bringing a golf cart to the Tee-Pee this week to give the elderly rides from their car to the bleachers. What a great guy!!! Hoping the Dogs are drinking extra water this week. Maybe they'll even get in a little conditioning? 😵‍💫
  6. A man once said football is like the stock market....it's silly to talk about past success. A man then also used a lot past history of players and teams now gone to make a point. A man then rightly suggested letting current evidence direct the opinions, but while also referencing coach's past football success. At the end of the day, these early starting rankings are mostly smoke and mirrors of last years success and program reputation, with just a hint of knowledge about returning players, next in line players, and early results. Week 2 may help us a little. I have a lot of question marks relative to my opinions of the area teams from years of first hand observation of this age group, especially SIAC. Question Marks for me: Castle: Genuinely I don't understand the high ranking in this poll or others. Wasn't expecting a strong returning group from a 6-4 team and haven't seen anything otherwise yet. The North game doesn't do it for me and I am not sure enough about MD yet to know if this week will tell us anything, but I think it will. North: Knowing what personnel coming up this year for North, I already had doubts they would repeat last years success. So the Castle game just confirms that for me if my doubts about Castle are confirmed. We will see how it plays out against Memorial this week. Will they be able to keep Memorial offense off the field with 88% run play ball control or change their previous game plan. Gibson Southern: I appreciate all of Titan32's points to be optimistic and I agree with them. I expect them to reload to some extent every year and be a formidable opponent. The question is how formidable. I thought going into this year it would be tough to replace their defense from last year. Regarding the FC game and considering FC having a break out year with a veteran group last year, I personally have my doubts if FC has been able to truly reload, in spite of their current ranking. So the GS/FC game is a question mark for me and I think the FC ranking is based on last years results and the bump up winning against Gibson Southern reputation. We will see how FC does against Whiteland this week. I am not sure what the Week 2 game against St. Pius X with tell us, unless they beat GS handily. I appreciate the hyperbole of accolades to the returning St. Pius X team and players, but they would be a 1A school in Indiana with only 300 students. I would expect GS to be able to beat the Indiana 1A state champion year in and year out. Time will tell.
  7. Yes The other side of the helmet is white. And they put stickers on it like Ohio State does but only on that side.
  8. No. Are you? But I have several friends and acquaintances who are members of the "Rossville community". And I can tell you from discussions with them over the years regarding Hornet athletics that tackle football, at any level, has the proverbial "snowballs chance in hell " of ever becoming reality.
  9. @hhpatriot04, all of those look accurate except Oak Hill. They do a gold helmet with a white logo and navy accents. It is really, really similar to the gold that MG uses for their helmet. Pretty sure the Grant County faithful refer to one as Vegas Gold (MG) and one as Old Gold (OH).
  10. Genuine question, which clearly you have the right to decline to answer, are you a member of the Rossville community? Either as a taxpayer, parent, or other community member?
  11. Today
  12. I think I'm changing my pick to Tippecanoe Valley. The small town of Akron is in that school district, and Akron has Jonesy's Junction, home of the best BPT in the state (at least until the end of August when it is set to close. 😞 )
  13. Better coaching this year!
  14. No, not when a co-op arrangement with Clinton Central to the East or heck, Faith Christian to the West, makes the superior 11-man man game another best option.
  15. How do these look compared to their 2026 versions? Any input?
  16. These are the 2026 edition. I'll have to update it.
  17. Reminds me of the old Anderson Highland Fighting Scots. (Which makes sense given the nickname similarity.)
  18. It says Rossville....How would you feel if they wanted to start football but they wanted to go 8 man and that was the BEST option for the school?? Would you support that?
  19. Perfect. Chin guards and chinstraps are black?
  20. So I've heard. I was told "But it should be" in another thread. Can you post pictures or share a link to their 2026 version?
  21. That’s not Floyd Centrals helmet.
  22. I'm wondering how current coaches combat this? Do they have someone on staff that purely checks the energy of the players and parents in the program? Are these coaches blindsided by the transfers or at least hear the rumblings? Not saying they need to cater to every kid, just if my star rb is on the verge of leaving id hope someone puts a bug in my ear to let me decide how to handle it if I choose to..of course hypothetically speaking..
  23. Yeah, not sure how TC got on there, but hope the rest are close enough. That gosh dang owl took forever to get right.
  24. I was always a Jordan fan myself!! I agree with you!!
