  1. The NCAA caters to the elite and the rules are written in pencil. That was proven once again this month. Some universities are no longer even trying to hide the fact that they are football factories first and student athletes second. Hell, LSU’s title from 11 months ago is already tainted. They’ll pretend they are doing something about it by punishing themselves and the spineless powers that be will buy it. The rewards simply outweigh the risk.

  2. I like the match up vs. Ole Miss and storyline, but IU absolutely deserved a NY Day game.

  4. I'll take Clemson over Bama. Trevor Lawrence is the best player in the country by far.

  5. Surely you jest. Where is the objective truth behind such a statement? This isn't the days of SMU and "Pony Excess"...................

  6. “I believe you forgot that Notre Dame also beat Clemson’s JV on November 7th.”

  7. Always has a way with words and an ulterior motive. Notre Dame being in elevates his team’s resume because now he can both be a fellow playoff team by four scores. That being said. They are in. Congrats Irish faithful. You’ve gained a fan for one more game.

  8. Interesting quote from Dabo: "Absolutely, Notre Dame deserves to be in — because they're daggone 10-1," Swinney said after Saturday's game. "They've played 11 games. They lost to Clemson, all right? They stepped in the ring with Clemson twice — won one and lost one — and there was, obviously, didn't go their way tonight but that's football. They played 11 games and absolutely they deserve to be in. Ain't no doubt about that. No way would I punish someone for playing more games. That's what we see. We're rewarding people for playing less games, punishing people for playing more and I don't get that. There's no doubt in my mind Notre Dame should be in."

  9. North Decatur recently announced they are leaving the Mid-Indiana Football Conference for the Mid-Eastern Conference in football only starting in 2021. Not sure about Milan, but there seems to be some uncertainty about the future of the MIFC.

  10. And recruiting/academic standards. The practices that take place in the southeast are well known yet the spineless NCAA slaps the elites on the wrist.

  12. I know this will come across as sour grapes but everyone is not playing by the same rules here folks. I felt bad for the Northwestern and Notre Dame student athletes yesterday. How else can you explain Nick Saban winning at a 59 percent clip in his tenure at Michigan State and an 84 percent clip at LSU/Bama?

  14. There are a lot of nay sayers who will make ridiculous comments like ND was overrated, should have never been where they were, etc. But the fact is that you can plug any team into the 4th spot in the CFP rankings, and they face the same outcome. The gap between those 3 top teams and everyone else is so wide, it does not matter if it is Iowa State, ND, Florida, etc.......any number of teams, they will get throttled by any of those top 3 programs. The reality was that ND earned this spot. Another fact is that ND was exposed as far as just how wide the gap from the top 3 to the rest is.

  15. Chuck Hurley is spinning in his grave at the thought of JC leaving the HHC. That being said, across the board would JC fare any better in the EIAC than they do in the HHC?

  16. Don't confuse college recruiting with high school accomplishments. They don't necessarily cross paths.
