Clay Conner, a 6’5” Quarterback and Safety out of Boonville, has committed to play with the Indiana Hoosiers football program next season. Conner is being recruited as an ATH, and plans to play on the defensive side of the ball. He committed with the program on February 25th, 2023. Other states use districts for playoff qualification. We don't do that here.

From my understanding, he is one of top basketball prospects in the country for his class. Would not be surprised if he doesn't play football in high school. But man would he be fun to watch if he does.

I can see it now… 2038: “Hey coach did you see that we are now ranked number two in the state?” “Yes, I did but rankings don’t matter.” “Who is that team ranked number one and will we ever get to face them?” “No kid, some adults got hurt feelings a few years back and we had too many differences.” “Boy that stinks, I hope I never have to have a job where I work alongside someone I disagree with.”

If it wasn’t a big deal, then you wouldn’t be on here posting and reading about it, there wouldn’t be articles in Indystar about it, and there wouldn’t be news stations running it as a top headline.
