  1. Apparently Indiana University fans/homers are angry the Colts didn't take any IU players in the 2026 draft. Especially the Colts picking an Oregon LB over Aiden Fisher. https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/columnists/gregg-doyel/2026/04/28/colts-draft-2026-nfl-draft-national-champion-iu-football-caitlin-clark-indiana-fever/89820609007/

  2. Totally agree....SAC outstanding conference...nothing negative intended. Perhaps you are right about CG....although one of the smaller 5A schools when he started. They had very little football history. But Coach Moore saw the feeder program and to your point he obviously saw the potential. Still they had to challenge the old ways raise the bar across the board, including scheduling. There were times it was painful. I agree about the rest as well....CG's recent years as an independent....that was a guantlet of a schedule most of those years. Never thought I'd welcome the MIC back to help reduce the grind just a little. (zero disrespect intended toward the MIC as I am a huge MIC fan)

  3. And the Indy area schools will still mop the floor with you come playoff time. You either have talent or you don't playing bigger and better schools aren't going to make you more talent it's a myth.

  4. Contact is not allowed in flag football but all flag football players are required to wear mouth guards

  5. Well... it's inevitable. It's just not smart not to wear a mouthpiece. But in the summer, too. We don't practice in the spring.

  6. The most frustrating sport to see avoid these rules is wrestling. Slap the word club onto anything wrestling and now it can be done all year. I doubt starting a football club would change the rules for us.

  7. Historically, the IHSAA has expected programs to self report. It can be triggered from a variety of sources, but will land in the lap of a school admin to make a report. Violators may appear in the board meeting minutes on the IHSAA site. As far as the last question, repeated violations could result in the suspension of coaches. The most famous case of that was when the Channel 13 helicopter in Indy was heading out to check traffic along 465 and 70 on the east side and the camera caught the WC team in shells practicing….head coach was suspended for 3 games, I believe?

  8. Now, just waiting for ALL SPORTS to get that limited SUMMER Calendar of what you can and cannot do?? You know 14 years ago .... it's coming.. 🙂 You're not supposed to do anything that would create contact so why need for mouth guard for protection when you are supposed to be installing and on air reps.......
