  1. I’m with Tundra on this one. Just because a blind squirrel has found a couple nuts over the past few years doesn’t mean they are a better team. Let’s give a new coach a chance with some strong upcoming classes before we make any wild statements. Plus I don’t think Floyd Central would be using AI to make their players look more buff in their pictures if they knew they had an upper hand.

  3. I thought the existing proposal, where one of the schools had to have a 9-12 enrollment of less than 300, was sufficient to stop that kind of funny business by larger schools.

  4. So--- Floyd would look like (in no particular order) Gibson Memorial Bloom South Seymour New Albany Jeff BNL Col East Whiteland Solid, especially if East can get back to where (ish) they should be. Only other solid options for Floyd-- Col North, East Central, Castle, and Ev North. That's really solid schedule. no

  5. It was not approved, although the vote was close. Something like 10-8.

  6. Northrop sucks. 23, you are basing this off one year. They need to put together 5 years of good play to even be mentioned

  7. "The university protected it's brand." It was the logo, not the name itself. What Cathedral did was worth fighting for. What Central Catholic is doing is not. Good grief, how did we get here? I was just suggesting some good games.

  8. I know I’m ranting into the void - but earlier this week I heard questioning ‘Why don’t they move all non conference games to week 1 and be done with it?’ It won’t work with an odd number. Not sure how people can’t figure that out. Thanks for coming to my TedTalk

  9. Every person I talked to who was telling me how stupid Indiana was for not having a Shot Clock.... I go great... How many HS playing schools in Indiana for Basketball? The answers were never in the 400 mind you: So then I would go great, how do suppose that 400 + school corporations are all of a sudden stuck with new suits in Indy giving new funding laws which will limit schools already, how do you suppose these districts all pay for it. Very Every MIC/DUNELAND/HHC conference there is 100 others who are NOT in same boat. Admins understood that: hence you see their 67% opposed survey vs 68% coach in favor ....

  10. Great comments and I appreciate your thoughts/education. My fear, and perhaps unfounded, is recruiting becomes an "unofficial" part of the game....thus the "under the table" question I asked earlier. Will the wealthier school districts with influential individuals and businesses now have an opening? I understand it wouldn't be legal, but can the IHSAA police and enforce? I do understand this could occur now without NIL, but I can't help from wondering if this could create unintended consequences. Sorry to ramble and thanks for the conversation....perhaps I am just an old guy afraid of change!!!

  11. I think the issue is more a 5A one, rather than geography.
