  1. Very attractive. Best job open right now. You have tradition(state championship) and stability. Both of which Noblesville does not have. Seems like Fishers also has better athletes I think with the right hire, Fishers could be better than Avon and Brownsburg.
  2. Does Coach Ralph have any interest in a college job?
  3. I think hiring the right coach absolutely matters. Coll, Gillin, and Moore are all proven winners who do it in their own way. Exactly. A new system that would shake up the HCC would be highly beneficial to Noblesville. Teams would have to start preparing for how to defend Noblesville like teams in the MIC do with CG. Running another spread system that teams see all year would just keep Noblesville lost in the shuffle of the HCC.
  4. I said in the Noblesville thread that they need to copy the CG formula, and I agree with you. I was looking for a school who has had recent success that has now created a winning tradition and culture. New Pal and CG are the prime examples of what can happen with the right hire and the right support
  5. 1. Tie - Carmel, BD, WC, CG, Elkart 2. Snider 3. East Central/Lawrenceburg 4. Linton/Triton Central/Webo 5. Sheridan/Southwood/Adams Central
  6. I think the two division system would speed up the competitive balance in 6A as a whole. How many more kids would want to play football at Zionsville if they won the 6A D2 title? Tradition matters because tradition creates a winning CULTURE. New Pal kids grow up wanting to be Dragons because they have a TRADITION of winning and that CULTURE is contagious at the lower levels. Just check out Coach Ralph's twitter with the kids who were standing outside the weight room ready to get started. I know I am talking about New Pal, but couldn't Zionsville or other D2 schools replicate that success to then be able to compete with the Mega Schools?
  7. Combs is surely good enough to play at Marian or U Indy. I couldn't believe Lindauer was overlooked either. I could see Combs playing Linebacker, Stand up Rush D-End in a 3-4 system, or a TE/H-Back at the college level.
  8. I see your point here. Cathedral and Chatard would be perfect fits in the MIC. New Pal would be a great fit as well. None of those schools seem to be on the decline at all.
  9. Hats off to Memorial. The more physical team won the game. That drive in the 3rd quarter was a killer, but I still can’t get over how poorly EN played offensively. A lot of that had to do with the pressure and EN’s inability to slow down the rush at all. The lack of screens, quick passes, and Hayden Jones not touching the ball at all was shocking to me.
  10. I meant like they share athletes with LC. I'm all for multi-sport athletes
  11. Noblesville has resources and the kids are disciplined. Seems like the perfect spot for someone to implement the "CG Way" Bigger enrollment than Franklin(double) and LN(500 more), and Noblesville doesn't have to share athletes like LN
  12. I see Noblesville as more of a stepping stone job. Go to Noblesville, coach for a couple years, and then move up to something with better athletes. Would love to see someone install the Center Grove offense at Noblesville.
  13. I can see why you would draw that comparison. I was impressed with Mt. Vernon for the most part, and they had opportunities in that game that they did not capitalize on. Hopefully, EN can score points in those situations. I think EN is better up front and I think Parker is more accurate than the Mt. Vernon QB. A lot of their struggles is a credit to Memorial. East Noble will need an answer to Memorial's 3rd/4th and Long package. Lining up Combs inside and stunting him and #69 while bringing the RB #9 off the edge, could cause the Knights problems up front. I see Memorial lining up in this defense quite a bit, even if its not on 3rd or 4th and long to try to get some pressure on Parker.
  14. There's nothing better than beating Chatard. Just ask @jimsinchur
  15. Thank goodness Lindauer and Branson Combs are gone! Those guys were incredible. But East Noble's weakness defensively is the big play. So that will have to be a point of emphasis this week. Another advantage for the Tigers is their familiarity with State week, and playing in LOS. How much will this effect the game?
  16. EN: 30 Memorial: 21 East Noble cannot afford to turn the ball over 6 times in this game. I am worried about tipped balls at the line, but the offense will be able to score against the Memorial Defense. Memorial wants to sit back in zone and let the pass rush control the game. They do a fantastic job of bend, don't break defense. However, if Parker has time or scrambles around he will hit guys down field or use his legs to get yards. The EN defense needs to stop the screen passes and bubbles on the perimeter and stop the run. I think if EM is forced to throw intermediate passes, that will give EN the best chance to win the game. The biggest question in this game is will Memorial wear down in the 2nd half? Finn McCool(best name in football), Combs, #14, #69, #82, #57, #77, and few others I am probably missing are asked to do a lot. It seems like in the games I watched, those guys were making all kinds of plays on both sides of the ball. I expect a great game and atmosphere on Saturday afternoon.
  17. Hopefully I'll be too busy celebrating an East Noble State Chamopionship drinking Knight BL's. But I will keep an eye on it
  18. Chatard 34 HH 14 Unless, HH installs the swinging gate this week 😂 I'm still pulling for the Pats though!
  19. Here's what I take away from this. East Noble and Hobart are both proud communities who are excited about playing in the Semi State because it hasn't happened in long time. At WC, BD, CG, and Carmel, anything less than a state championship is just another game. I don't have all the stats, but I would imagine 3/4 of those teams are in the Semi State every year, so it kind of loses its prestige after awhile correct? All of those teams have sustained success year in and year out, so their fan's expectations have to be higher. That means its a State Championship or nothing. Not the case for East Noble or Hobart, which is why it was standing room only at the game Friday night.
  20. Ok, we can agree to disagree on that. I have another question for you. I would like to know about the Hobart Offense. The offense clearly wants to run the ball and control the clock. East Noble has defended the run great this season, so what's the plan if they can't run the ball or they go down by 2 scores? They've thrown 20 passes total in the playoffs, which tells me 2 things. 1. They didn't need to throw because they had a lead/tied/only a one score game. 2. They aren't comfortable throwing. Example: New Prairie had 8 guys in the box and played cover 0 for basically the entire game, and Hobart continued to run the ball. If that look doesn't scream, "We dare you to throw", I don't know what does. The one passing TD to #4 was after a timeout, which was a great call by the coaching staff. But when forced into must throw situations, the offense was bailed out by New Prairie penalties.
  21. What do Merrillville and Morton have in common with EN? All of them are spread teams that can throw the ball. Also, Merrillville and Morton both scored 21 points. EN is definitely better than Morton, and I don't know about Merrillville. And to Hobart's credit, the Merrillville game might have a different outcome now because that was week 2 which was 3 months ago. To answer your question, I think EN hits some quick passes and Parker will scramble and hit an open guy if he is pressured. Hobart will have to be selective when they bring pressures because EN can and will hurt them. Hobart's coaching staff is great, so I'm sure they will have a plan. I just like the matchup vs the secondary because of the WRs and QB at EN.
  22. The only way Hobart wins by 17 is if the Knights turn the ball over 3+ times. East Noble will be able to overcome one mistake in this game, but not 2 or 3. I agree with you that Parker won't beat the Brickies with his legs, but his arm is another story. The Hobart run defense is the truth. What they did to New Prairie and Lowell speaks to that. So, I see the Knights trying to throw first and run second to mix it up. The front 7 are very impressive, and the secondary are great run support players. However, I was not impressed with the secondary in space or in coverage against spread teams. East Noble will be able to score tonight, but like I said, it comes down to mistakes. East Noble 28 Hobart 20
  23. I'm not a Pats fan.... I just wanted to post my prediction of the game STC style
  24. STC.. STC.. 1.. 2.. 3.. This is a game I would like to see, But the Warriors will change their name to Anville, after playing no D. The Warriors offense will spit and sputter, While the Patriots D wins them another. Heritage Hills 40 Danville 13
  25. What a great design by Coach Woods(2:28:23). Can't believe they ran it again after the penalty
