  1. Mr. Halas dressed like a professional, with class: Like almost all NFL coaches today Mr. Johnson's dress on the sidelines is just one step above Belichick-schlub: Dress classy, be classy.
  2. As am I. These forays into NWI are just leverage and scare tactics aimed towards various legislative bodies in Illinois, at the local and state level.

  5. https://fox59.com/indiana-news/nfl-commissioner-touring-potential-chicago-bears-stadium-sites-in-nw-indiana/ Just say NO to a heavily taxpayer-funded NFL stadium in NW Indiana.
  6. https://reason.com/2026/01/12/the-ice-agent-who-killed-renee-good-disregarded-traffic-stop-guidelines/?itm_source=parsely-api I have watched ever video of this sad incident that I could find, and IMHO Ms. Good was murdered. Mr. Ross should be tried and convicted of such.
  7. Thanks for trying.
  8. I have spent time in a locker room, but not an NFL locker room. Please Bobref, regale us with your tales of witnessing unabashed swearing and debauchery in an NFL locker room. Or a Notre Dame locker room.
  9. “The true test of a man’s character is what he does when no one is watching.” ― John Wooden Or in a "private place", whatever that means in this context. Having microphones and cameras in a locker roof hardly makes it private now, does it?
  10. I agree. While I like Mr. Johnson's enthusiasm his casual use of profanity bothers me. I was raised that such usage was frankly the sign of a weak mind, unable to come with something more appropriate for the situation. First or last, do it with class.
  11. So a not-insignificant percentage. Thank you.
  12. I guess if my agenda is, as others have stated in this thread, "If you build it they will come", then the GID montebank "Donnie Baker" is correct.
  13. So was Mr. McManus allowed to ride to back to Green Bay with the team, or was he given a cab ride to O'Hare and told to get as far away from Lambeau field as possible?
  14. Yes, that would be the logical best scenario. But Rossville residents will cling to their government school "independence" until the bitter end, I believe much more than Clinton Central and Clinton Prairie denizens will. It would probably take the Indiana National Guard coming in and forcibly barring access to the school building for Rossville citizens to finally capitulate. And then many would probably just transfer their students to schools outside of Clinton county, probably Harrison or Carroll.
  15. Nice story by Mr. Neddenriep in the Indianapolis Star: https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/high-school/2026/01/09/mt-vernon-football-coach-indiana-lineman-doug-peacock-died-thursday-at-age-68/88108025007/?tbref=hp
  16. The enrollment gap between Clinton Central and Clinton Prairie just keeps growing, where they used to always be very close. Could be Prairie just siphoning off more and more students from Frankfort due to their geographic proximity. A consolidation of the two high schools just make more and more sense.
  17. You are welcome.
  18. Just saw on the Clinton Central Football page on FB that Coach Jeremy Fendley has retired from coaching and teaching. Best of luck to him in his future endeavors.
  19. One wonders how many "OMG! Athletes" are flocking to New Palestine H.S. from other area high schools to be part of such a dynasty.
  20. Yes. I've only seen six games being rescheduled due to IU-Oregon, and all but one are in central or southern parts of the state where IU seems to have a much larger fan presence. Here in the Clinton county the North Putnam @ Frankfort contests, both Boys and Girls varsity games, will be played as planned.
  21. Mr. Ballard's recent response to the press on this subject: https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/nfl/colts/2026/01/08/colts-gm-chris-ballard-was-asked-if-hed-call-john-harbaugh-his-response/88084386007/?tbref=hp
  22. https://iga.in.gov/legislative/2026/bills/senate/21/details I heartily suggest all Hoosiers contact their duly elected senator and implore them to vote yes on this important piece of legislation.
  23. Trump must really hate our Indiana state legislators right now: https://www.indystar.com/story/news/politics/2026/01/08/war-powers-congress-vote-indiana-senator-todd-young/88086589007/?tbref=hp Kudos to Mr. Young for doing the right thing. And if Mr. Trump, "all Presidents", and the Dept. of Justice really believe the War Powers Act is unconstitutional why hasn't it been gutted or overturned by the SCOTUS?
  24. I probably will. Thank you for your concern, and I hope you will choose to contribute to such a discussion.
  25. And the population density of Marion and surrounding donut counties means you have more "OMG! Athletes!" to choose from. Would a coach rather have one "Johnny 1to5-Star" athlete on his team or 4-5?
