Shelbyville on the brink of Contraction?

Well, at least New Palestine will be able to rest their starters. Heck, they probably won't even need to dress. -
Shelbyville on the brink of Contraction?

Appear to be very few OMG! Athletes on the squad. A lot of those are playing soccer. And many of those "numbers" are playing tackle football for the first time. Not a good combination for a supposed 4A school in a competitive conference like the Sagamore. -
Shelbyville on the brink of Contraction?
Muda69 replied to a topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
I'm thinking Frankfort needs to get out of the Sagamore conference and join the Hoosier Heartland. After all they supposedly "weakened" their schedule by scheduling 1A Clinton Central in the first game of the season instead of Western and the result has been two season opening losses. -
https://deadspin.com/nfl-rules-are-just-suggestions-1838409707 Sounds about right. Do referee's get paid good money in the NFL, because I don't know if I could handle such wishy-washy rules.

Top 15 Regardless of Class (Mid-Season)
Muda69 replied to Staxawax's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
I'll take Trader's Point Christian in section #42. 5-0 baby! And don't discount the Clinton Central Bulldogs. If they face the Knights it could be 2007 all over again. -
Shelbyville on the brink of Contraction?

Sounds like a bit of a mess. So did the Shelbyville AD contact the New Palestine AD and basically say "Your team is too good and our team is too bad. So we aren't coming to your place on 10/4, especially for a homecoming game. Sorry about your luck."? -
Good point. After the feds get done probably the only vaping products available to purchase will be made by Juul, owned by old time tobacco giant Phillip-Morris, who spends millions a year on lobbying.

From going to college in Terre Haute I know one of the issues is the smell. What is the other one? -
https://reason.com/2019/09/24/vaping-rashida-tlaib-hearing-conspiracy/ Moments before, Tlaib had asserted secondhand smoke was "worse than directly smoking cigarettes." This, of course, is not true—indeed, it's utterly ludicrous. Who is the conspiracy theorist again? For more on Tlaib's fact-free anti-vape agenda, read the Reason Foundation's Guy Bentley. Yep, fact-free is about how the federal government starts most of it's "wars" against the general populace. Why should vaping be any different.

They don't have to because the the technology already exists. It is called Sagarin's. -
Digital Down Markers
Muda69 replied to Tanka Jahari's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Actually I don't. If the change is financially prudent and an objectively marked improvement over the old product/method then I would have no issue with it. Unfortunately digital down markers are neither. It is the equivalent of: -

Walmart's Entry Into Health Care Could be Hugely Disruptive in All the Best Ways: https://reason.com/2019/09/23/walmarts-entry-into-health-care-could-be-hugely-disruptive-in-all-the-best-ways/ The part about paying out-of-pocket for basic care is huge. IMHO the current medical insurance model regarding the coverage of basic care is broken. Who here has an automobile insurance policy that covers oil changes, tire rotations, brake service, etc.?

Digital Down Markers
Muda69 replied to Tanka Jahari's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Again, If you have peer-reviewed studies showing that the color blind need digital down markers in order to receive this critical information in a timely manner, please post them. So far the only "proof" of your claim is the statement "I have been told........". And a good friend of mine happens to be color blind, has never once complained to me about those damn traditional down markers. -
Digital Down Markers

Just following the conversation, Dum. I still stand by my initial contention that digital down markers are an expensive extravagance for Indiana high school football, a game played by children. -
