Most government school programs have tried and tried, over time, to emulate the P/P's and 99% of them fail. The best they can hope for is that "once in a decade team", not reload year after year after year like the P/P's do. Most P/P's just don't have the socioeconomic hurdles the governments schools face.

My reasoning is simple. You play the state finals on a neutral field, why not the semi-state? No. That insipid turf would have to be sodded over before the game. At the IHSAA's expense, of course. Either that or have the game at LCC's field.

Another stupid decision by the IHSAA not to have semi-state games at neutral sites. This game would be better played at someplace like Lafayette Jefferson's Scheumann Stadium.

BTW, as I was flipping through all the various regional games on Friday night via the IHSAA TV app on my Roku, I noticed that the BSM "intro" video before the streaming actually started was the shortest and least obnoxious of all the other games that had such intro videos. By far the longest and most obnoxious was the Eastern Hancock/South Montgomery game. That thing was some kind of minute+ long "Glory Days" homage to EH football, along with strategic sponsor placement.
