  1. Toughest schedule in the state? Yep. Toughest schedule in the Midwest? Probably. Toughest schedule (for a real school) in the county? Possibly.
  2. Define “consistent.” To me, that means a minimum of 7-8 times each decade. I’ll give you 2020 and we will revisit this in 2030?
  3. Only because Omar Cooper is a junior. Both he, and Jordan are absolute studs but there is a reason that Cooper has over a half dozen power 5 offers and Jordan's major offers are from MAC schools. So, no. It's not over.
  4. Anybody can use Bo. I was a big fan of the underdog story.
  5. Its the 2020, Mr. Football Award. What was done prior to 2020 should be irrelevant in my opinion. While you're at it (playing the team strength award), did McCahill have a weapon target on his team as lethal/talented as Omar Cooper? This argument works both ways.
  6. I agree, but there is a post above that suggests they are an annual 9-10 win program. Let's pump the brakes. It's great to see them competitive and as you mentioned, they are not the IU of old, I just think that folks are placing A LOT of stock into 2020 when the national landscape of college football has been turned upside down. I'll be MORE impressed if IU manages to go 9-3 next year than anything they do for the remainder of this season. Allen is 2-2 (likely about to be 2-2) against Purdue and as this thread title indicates, neither team is tearing it up in the 2021 class thus far. Slow down. I've heard for the past few years that IU has overtaken Purdue in basketball, simply because they got three consecutive Mr. Basketball winners...
  7. I've never seen a few weeks of success for a program that has been irrelevant for 30 years go to a fan base's head so quickly. Wow.
  8. Maybe these are just "safe picks" as I looked a bit at what other teams were returning in terms of offensive productions and gave these three the nod for their ability to "reload" easier than others...
  9. Took a mini dive into things before my above picks and Covenant is losing their stud QB/RB and, even though many on here think they will just "reload", that is tough for any 1A outfit. Pioneer is an intriguing one as they seem to return their second leading rusher (over 800 yards) and had a freshman QB who got some snaps this fall. I won't pretend to know more than I do, especially when it comes to the lower classes, but just some quick research provided the above info. Ah, good call. No clue in 1A north for this guy in that case.
  10. I'll take a shot in the dark here... 6A: Center Grove over Westfield 5A: Cathedral over Dwenger 4A: Roncalli over Lowell 3A: Concordia over Gibson Southern 2A: Luers over Heritage Christian 1A: Lafayette Central Catholic over Lutheran
  11. Once again, with the changing demographics in and around central Indiana and viewing things LONG TERM, is Warren a better job than Zionsville? New Pal? Whiteland? Make no mistake, Warren is not going anywhere but two of those three are among the fastest growing areas anywhere in the state and "could" be the next Warren in 10-15 years. I guess it comes down to win NOW versus win LATER...
  12. I have ZERO inside scoop whatsoever, but if I had to predict the next head coach at WC, I'm guessing this guy. Makes sense for a lot of reasons.
  13. None of the above in my opinion. @Coach Nowlin, may I give my prediction?
  14. Then can you shed more insight on my man’s question above?
  15. Don’t know enough about the area to be honest. Not arguing ESL’s SES/demographics at all. Is it possible that they are just a magnet for all of the football talent in the area? Not much to speak of in southern Illinois in terms of bursting metropolises. From a quick search it appears they only compete in 11 varsity sports...
  16. Another example of star gazing.
  17. I don’t need to ask anyone. Just waiting for the spin doctors to arrive.
  18. Just playing devil’s advocate for the sake or argument. That’s all. Folks sometimes down play my SES argument, but that’s exactly what’s in play here. Some folks get upset because they view things on a week to week basis...I tend to view things more from a long term perspective. How else can you explain a guy leaving WARREN CENTRAL for the bottom program in the HCC? Spin it for me.
  19. I think making any gross/overriding assumptions based on 2020 is a slippery slope. Lets wait and see.
  20. Depends on prior experiences and where you are at in your career in my opinion. True but a lot of assuming on your part here. You seem to have insight.
  21. I don’t know. Everyone on here told me for months that BD and WC were destination jobs and that the suggestion that they were a shell of their former selves was overstated.
  22. No coaching rumors allowed, lol.
  23. Kirschner leaves BD for Mount Vernon... West leaves Warren for Franklin Central. Its not that hard to figure out.
