  1. 801 Day 1 isn't what they use though, right? Everyone's #s are a little inflated Day 1, but I don't believe those are the #s they use for the state, could be wrong there. Like... I think they wait to further in the school year to make the distinction on what your true enrollment is. The spring it was 717. Now, with housing you mentioned.... seems like 2026 is probably a very safe bet. But... do others grow enough? It's not JUST Charlestown's enrollment to look at. There are multiple schools bigger than you in 3A with larger FR and SO classes. Either way, I'm just glad there's another school in the conference with turf. lol love your guys set up. PA system is impressively loud, wow. I think one of their drives is 2.5hours this year to play a KY team. Then... probably another two hour drive to Greenwood to play Hammond.
  2. Oh absolutely.
  3. Good points. We picked up Madison next year, in place of Indian Creek. With you guys and your enrollment, which hasn't changed a ton in the last decade, I mean... maybe you guys start gaining some enrollment.... but there are still 20 schools with larger enrollments than you guys in 3A. I don't think it's a guarantee at all that you guys end up 4A.
  4. They have 900 students.... the bottom of 5A takes over 1500. If they add 600 students in 1-2 years... that's crazy enrollment spikes, holy cow. They are a far cry from 5A. It's not a knock on SC to say that. I would say a schedule of Jeff, Floyd, BC, Salem, CT, and NH would generally prepare you for the tournament, as well as, any other conglomerate of teams you could come up with.
  5. Silver Creek is a far cry from 5A.
  6. I understand. Not every one of the 9 in front of them are better, couple I don't feel are close. I don't actually care though, simply discussing.
  7. Thanks man, appreciate it. I don't know that any of these 3 moves have any certainty to them. Would Salem keep Pekin?
  8. I don't get any more likes for today. But I am liking this post.
  9. Thanks guys! I will update accordingly. Wonder if Batesville/Franklin Co getting turf will force Greensburg? Hmm
  10. BC 14 Salem 0 JV
  11. Wow.. East is way, way too low. Same with Lawrenceburg.
  12. Bummer. Forgot to turn in my picks last week. You can drop me from the standings, my bad.
  13. Holy cow. BC/Col East was weathered out on Saturday in JV.
  14. Nope, no 6As without turf anymore! .. and there are 6 5As left. Both Terre Hautes, Castle, FW Northside, Mishawaka, Concord. I can share the updated document with you, if you would like!
  15. It is. Unless you're a miserable person.
  16. This has nothing to do with turf. Zero.
  17. Also.. great time at CT this evening. Beautiful field and stadium. Had music, good time. Hour weather delay sucked. 🤣
  18. BC 26 Charlestown 14 JV
  19. Your just rude. Idk what to tell you lol Not sure. We've not ran into any infection, of any kind, during the time we've had ours. I have no clue when the best time to do that would be?
  20. Either way, @Muda69 you are rude to constantly badger this thread every time it's posted in. I've, multiple times, asked you to just make your own thread and we can discuss the positives and negatives of turf. You don't have the decency to do so.
  21. Yup. On the turf every single day, on a 90+ degree day, sure it can get just a little bit hotter than grass, maybe. And we are already being absurdly cautious (as we should) on days that are on the hot side/wet bulb being high. These are articles are useless, yes heat is hot lol
  22. 40-70 degree hotter lol .... I'm DYING laughing.
  23. Hey, thanks man. I didn't have them! Completely fabricated lol Marginally, marginally hotter on the turf. Moving on. Thanks!! Looks great!
