  1. IndyCar qualifying taking place at 7PM on Friday at IMS , just about 1.5 miles away from Johnson Field. Should make for some pretty awesome background noise as the Stars scrimmage the Sparkplugs!
  2. I see what your saying and forgot they were one district. Move them Both and if your gonna put any school in 37 then put Heritage Christian or Eastern Hancock
  3. No its laziness , Lapel or Frankton to sec 38 and LCC to 36 requires slightly more thought and makes WAY more sense .
  4. When you comment on the post so you get the notifications but your not part of the argument
  5. I'll take that bet vs IMG Varsity you did not specify which IMG squad lol of course I know you mean their main team which is IMG National, but there is Varsity that plays locale FL teams and lost 3 games (vs Tampa Ca 7-43, vs Calvary Christian 16-42, and vs Sebring 14-44) plus a lost in the 2nd round of the playoffs to American Collegiate 0-12. They also have a post graduate team. So National , Varsity , and Post Graduate .
  6. Zionsville is the defending 5A northern champion and will be the team to beat with Dwenger and Snider close behind. They return top Rusher, WR, and 4 out 5 OL(that includes a Notre Dame committal) and top 2 tacklers on defense plus they play in the HCC.
  7. RS JR - Race Thompson (returning to IU) So - Armaan Franklin - (transferring to UVA) This leaves IU with 2 open scholarships Hoosiers will probably look at Post depth (Brunk and TJD gone after this year) and another pure shooter on the perimeter.
  8. I've always said it hard being a millennial IU fan. Your grandparents talk about the 70s IU teams. Your Parents talk about the 80s and early 90s IU teams (my dad purposed to my mom after Keith Smart hit the jump shout in 87). And your earliest memories watching IU basketball is 2002 run to the title game. Setting up 20 years of disappointment. Funny how this program spent those 20 years running from any association or connection to Coach Knight. Now that they have gotten passed that they have gained more momentum and optimism in the past 8 days than those previous 20 years outside of 2013. I think we are heading for better days but ............ Just one thing left to do and its the most important Just win baby win
  9. As an IU fan of course my heart wants Stevens more than anything in the world. I DO think he is considering it what's the harm in that? At anytime he can definitively say no which he has yet to do. My ultimate belief is IU has made him a ridiculous offer, he has said I need some time to think about it which is ok with IU because their other candidates are coaching in the tourney right now anyway they will do all in on Brad until he truly says no. from there I think they go after Beard if he says thanks but no thanks then they look to Matta/Beilien I might be off and have 0 inside info or anything but the thing that makes me most excited as an IU fan is the fact that the all of the names mentioned so far are MASSIVE upgrades IMHO. Last time I remember reading articles that had a TON of Mid-Major coaches on the list seems like they were always going to go in that direction (minus the Billy D rumors) . Just call me the IU optimistic fan but I'm much more excited this time around thanks too Scott Dolson !
  10. you hear what you want to hear but that sounds like a guy that is seriously considering something. I'm not saying its going to happen there seems to be more to this.
  11. I will spend the next couple of weeks dreaming sweet dreams and rooting against the Boston Celtics.
  12. I know that I in no way shape or form have any understanding how this works but honestly I feel as though Dolson has to come at this from a postion of power. My thought is you could present Archie with 3 options 1) restructure your current contract, up the incentives for next season (finish in top half of Big 10, Make the tourney, advance in Big ten/NCAA tourney) and eliminate the buy out to basically zero for the end of next season. 2) negotiate a decrease in current buyout (5 mil to walk away right now and you don't have to seek employment that decreases cost of buyout) 3) tell Archie if he doesn't like option 1 or 2 then you will not issue any statement what-so-ever and he can sink or swim next year knowing if he doesn't get it going he's gone next April and can spend the entire off season stuck in house and know every time he losses a game he's gonna have to listen to fire Archie chants in assembly hall and wish him good luck. But I'm just a fan wishing for better days
  13. I don't disagree but maybe a nervous energy around Terre Haute that their Southern Indiana rivals in Purple are going to close the gap quickly with an experienced and successful Coach like Lickliter? I mean 0-18 in the conference after the McCarthy debacle to the 5-th place in the Mo Valley is a heck of jump while ISU and Lansing keep spinning tires in the middle of the pack the last 8 years or so.
  14. Shane Bates (Zionsville) Weight class is 170, 2nd state finals appearance. Starting SS for 5A runner- up Zionsville 3rd on team in tackles (75 tackles, 4INTs and FF) http://www.hudl.com/v/2EiTDUhttp://www.hudl.com/v/2EiTDU But most of all an incredible young man very coachable and will out work the best of them.
  15. The Rational IU Fan point of view, 1) Chill out: top to bottom this IU team is really young, talented but young its not a good year to be finding footing in a historically deep and difficult Big ten plus limitations dude to COVID. IU is competitive in every game this year minus Texas (a top 5 team in the nation) and stretches vs Purdue. Injuries have hurt too (Brunk, Franklin, Phinese) I know what excuses are like! 2) Year 5: Archie needs year 5 especially if TJD comes back. If this is the case IU will be experienced, older, and deeper than just about every team in the conference and might just be considered the favorite to win the Big Ten. If you don't give him year 5 then you will you will see mass exodus for NBA and Transfer further throwing things off any path in the ditch once again. Lack of shooting is only a problem if you don't win 56-48. 3) IF: Year 5 is a bust and it could be a talented IU team flops in the Big Ten, limps too the tourney, and gets booted early/misses altogether, then by all means hand him the pink slip and not a person nationally, locally, or really Archie himself could argue. 4) The search is already over: I agree with one name and that is Dane Fife . Lets take a lesson from our hated neighbors to the North. Purdue enjoys sustained success as a tourney team and top half Big Ten team for one reason their coach is extremely invested in their program. Not only for a desire to win but pride. This is what Howard has also brought to Michigan and What I think Fife would bring to IU. Forget the Bob Knight association Fife is the best choice for his experience. He knows the Big 10 and the State of Indiana, learned from Izzo, and has been a Head Coach. Who cares that he played for Knight!? (well nobody except grandpa and Dickey V) that's irrelevant and shouldn't help or hurt him. Ultimately that won't happen why? Fans desperation for the " Parodical Son" not just Brad , but the BIG NAME GUY (i.e. Billy Donavan, Mark Few). This guy isn't coming to IU period sorry to say it these guys aren't coming to a high risk and low reward situation like Indiana and its been like that for a while now. I admit this did not dawn on me until they hired Archie. Because its the only possible reason why they hired Archie. Association with Knight the University has been scared of any such association for a long time but it does seem after last year its starting to fade. A possible "Tom Allen effect" do you go with a quick choice or someone on staff? I could see a curve ball and all the sudden and Mike Roberts becomes the next HC (Though I wouldn't be mad to see what Kenya Hunter or Bruiser Flint could do in B-Town). The Mid-Major flavor of the month. Hiring this cool, young, relatable mid-major HC otherwise known as lets throw Sh## at the wall and see if it sticks. Hey sometimes it does (Holtman-OSU, Cronin- UCLA might be a little early, Shaka - Texas). But if it doesn't ? Wash , Rinse, and Repeat see you all in therapy! Plan B: SO crazy it might actually work? What if I told you there was a coach who had taken a power conference school to the Final Four, 9 straight 20 win seasons, was a national coach of the year, 3 time Conference tourney champion in a conference with a Blueblood program. Would leave that program for Indiana because he believes Indiana is one of the best bball programs in the nation. Could get IU back to 20 wins and the NCAA Tourney in his FIRST season. Sign the best High School basketball player in the State of Indiana in 20 years (whatever means necessary 😅) Wins anywhere he's ever been. Only downside is he likes to talk on the phone a little too much 😉...….. would you hire him? A nice apology and 4 million a year it could all be water under the bridge. I jest but in all seriousness I think he got a raw deal considering most of his violations are now legal in NCAA bylaws and McRobbie doesn't exactly have the best track record in major university decisions ..... And winners at that level tend to come with some baggage..... so do you want a squeaky clean losing program or a ehhh maybe that wasn't the best decision BUT where going dancing every March Its gotta make you think what if.
