NO..you are adding the disclaimer. Most simply say Congrats. You just pick and choose who you give the disclaimer. I hope the Boilers do win a natty...and I will simply say congrats. Nothing else needed. Damn, you are worse than Finebaum and he eventually recanted. But, hey...die on that hill.

As if private industry and private investment doesn't pick and choose winners and losers? Show me how depressed and dilapidated areas don't improve without investments in transportation, infrastructure, creation and attraction of jobs, etc. I also believe in private investment, but there has to be some level of incentive. If the Bears are going to invest heavily in the design and build of a new facility in NWI, is it really too much to ask for help with taxes, building of roads, etc. Companies like Lilly are investing billions in capital expansion across this country and in Europe. Do you think they are investing in areas like Gary? Do you think that does anything to attract and retain workforces, etc. But what if Gary was a much nicer place to live? Perhaps some upfront spending could lead to major private investment.

You just can't stop yourself can you? Always a disclaimer with your congrats. I don't remember you pointing out Michigan and Ohio State's natty's via NIL. Now, you have to comeback with the age issue. As if its wrong that kids remain in school? Indiana average starting line-up age was 22.5-23. Basically the age of a redshirt senior. So what? When you don't have 4 and 5 stars, kids typically stay in school as its much harder for them to go to the next level based on pure god given talent. When it comes to NIL, IU sure spent far less than many other powers of college football, so perhaps a pat on the back for a good ROI. Is it so hard to simply say Congrats IU without a disclaimer or negative spin? If Purdue is fortunate enough to win a Natty in hoops, can we all say it would have never happened without NIL or congrats winning in the Professional College basketball era??? Or do we simply say, "Congrats Purdue?" Your disdain for IU is duly noted. Maybe saying nothing at all is good enough.

I hope NWI gets the stadium.....I am good with the investment to start the cleanup of an area that needs it badly, and have a much needed source of revenue generation. The area will not clean up on its own without an investment and there is no incentive by the private sector to do it all on their own. If there was, it would have happended a long time ago. Well, let's just agree to disagree and move on.

John Harrell has 2026 schedules out on his site. CG's and Carmel's below. First time in awhile CG has no out of state games and its a full MIC schedule. Same for Carmel.

Agreed....I read Pegula's comments, and wondered what it would be like to be a coach ultimately working for him. I'm guessing they will get a top coach because of Allen, but if Josh wasn't there, I would think twice as a head coach before working for him.

You are just bitter because your favorite university won't and will remain at the bottom of the Big 10. BTW, show me a top football school that doesn't spend. Regardless, IU sure had a better ROI than Ohio State, Oregon, Michigan, USC and Penn State. Coach, take that frown and turn it upside down!!

1. Coach, I think the Bears have played 2 playoff games since 2011 and last one I believe was 2021. But somehow they should go straight to the NFC championship or the season was a bust......Note my sarcastic tone. Bears had a heck of a season and showed tremendous improvement. 2. Its ok to "fleece" taxpayers in other states....just not here. Let's just keep the Gary region its oh so beautiful self....why invest? Sorry..dripping with sarcasm.....

this early predictor by ESPN....puts IU at #1 and ND at #3. I think they put #1 from this season there until proven otherwise. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/47610677/college-football-way-too-early-top-25-2026-season Some verbiage about both teams.....sounds like Coach Freeman plans on bringing the belt with him to games..... Indiana Key starters expected to leave: QB Fernando Mendoza, WR Elijah Sarratt, C Pat Coogan, RB Roman Hemby, DL Stephen Daley, LB Aiden Fisher, SS Louis Moore Key additions: QB Josh Hoover (TCU), WR Nick Marsh (Michigan State), RB Turbo Richard (Boston College), DL Tobi Osunsanmi (Kansas State), S Preston Zachman (Wisconsin), CB A.J. Harris (Penn State), G Joe Brunner (Wisconsin) 2026 outlook: The greatest turnaround in college football history culminated with Indiana winning its first national championship Monday night. Now, the Hoosiers will have to replace Mendoza, the Heisman Trophy winner, and several key players coach Curt Cignetti brought with him from James Madison. The Hoosiers signed 53 transfers over the past two seasons, and they're bringing in at least a dozen more this year. Hoover, who started 31 games for the Horned Frogs, could be elite if he cuts down on turnovers. Richard was an important addition with Hemby and Kaelon Black moving on. IU has a handful of other starters, including receiver Omar Cooper Jr., cornerback D'Angelo Ponds and left tackle Carter Smith, who might depart for the NFL. The Hoosiers are losing a lot, but it seems foolish to doubt Cignetti at this point. Notre Dame (note the comments about schedule) Key starters expected to leave: RB Jeremiyah Love, RB Jadarian Price, WR Malachi Fields, TE Eli Raridon, OT Aamil Wagner, S Jalen Stroman Key additions: DT Francis Brewu (Pittsburgh), DL Keon Keeley (Alabama), CB Jayden Sanders (Michigan), CB DJ McKinney (Colorado), WR Quincy Porter (Ohio State), WR Mylan Graham (Ohio State), K Spencer Porath (Purdue), DL Tionne Gray (Oregon) 2026 outlook: After being left out of the CFP, the Fighting Irish should be right back in the mix in 2026. There's no question the Irish will miss Love and Price, who combined to run for 2,046 yards with 29 touchdowns this past season. Aneyas Williams, who averaged 9.3 yards per carry, is the heir apparent. Quarterback CJ Carr should be even better in his second season as a starter, especially if the Irish can get Graham and Porter going, and Jaden Greathouse returns from a hamstring injury. Nine of the defense's top 10 tacklers are back from 2025. Brewu and Keeley were important additions on the defensive line. Notre Dame figures to be heavily favored in all but two games: home against Miami and at BYU. There's little room for error playing a schedule that will be heavily scrutinized when it's CFP selection time. As Irish coach Marcus Freeman said this week, it's his team's responsibility to "leave no doubt."
