  1. Gotcha...I thought you were going back in time over a certain period. I didn't add them up either. CG had some youth playing varsity this year as well, that impacted the JV squad. But they will absolutely need to reload at some critical positions.
  2. I meant I don’t count wins…Didn’t have a clue until you provided the data.
  3. They just offered the younger soph Cherry as well.
  4. Truly don't count. I go back so far both at youth and high school levels and know there have been so many classic matchups over the years. Nothing but tons of respect for BD, Warren, Lawrence, etc. programs. I just hope we all get back to playing each other in the regular season again. (I mean varsity as we all play each other at every other level)
  5. Center Grove JV 8-1 with their lone loss to Louisville Trinity https://www.centergrovefootball.com/schedule/team_instance/8860013?subseason=890599 Center Grove Frosh 9-0 https://www.centergrovefootball.com/schedule/team_instance/8860096?subseason=890602 After I sent, realized Grover responded...so I attached links to schedules with results
  6. I agree...the only couple ESPN folks that I have noticed that are outspoken against how FSU was handled is Greenberg and Booger....the latter surprised me a little given his SEC allegiance
  7. Guess it’s now old news, but an interesting take. BTW, I’m not a Greeny fan. ▶️ Watch this reel https://www.facebook.com/share/r/VsxzLyFJk3sdP3qZ/?mibextid=UalRPS
  8. Donaven....stay away from the Dark Side!!!! You're better than Emperor Harbaugh!!!
  9. He may very well have another year....I was trying to add up where he was out of high school with Covid and you may be absolutely correct. My bad if off....
  10. Sorry for the hi-jack Coach, but have you or anyone else watched Quarterbacks on Netflix? Kirk Cousins is one of the 3 QB's featured and I became a big fan of his after watching. Not only a talented, hard-working professional, but seems like an incredible husband, father and overall human being. His acceptance speech after receiving the Bart Starr award at the most recent Super Bowl was outstanding.
  11. Wow...will read...thanks
  12. LOL...don't believe they are QB's. Soph brother was an excellent contributor on the Dline (DE) this past varsity season. Listed at 6'4" 235lbs and is an outstanding baseball player as well. Athletic and could see him play at either DE or TE in the future. Youngest brother (I believe) was a standout on the Junior Trojan football team that claimed another IEFA championship.
  13. Good thoughts...don't disagree with your points. I also agree with Cherry and your Duke comments. He's an outstanding student. I don't believe he has decommitted...guessing waiting to see what transpires. I did see where the Duke starting QB for most of the year (injury) entered the portal and keep reading about him at ND. I am not sure of their position depth. I have heard that Cherry is receiving a fair amount of contacts now from other schools. (as O'Neil) Will be interesting to see what transpires for these 2 excellent young men and athletes. As you stated, they both have bright futures. Was a true joy watching them play during their high school careers. Cherry has 2 brothers following him and both are excellent athletes.
  14. With Sorsby entering the portal and now their incoming QB recruit Timothy Carpenter decommitting, does this make things look more attractive for either Danny O'Neil or Tyler Cherry as a possibility at IU?? https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/2024-quarterback-timothy-carpenter-decommits-from-iu/#:~:text=Indiana has lost its quarterback, and re open my recruitment.
  15. Lighten up Francis.... I guess it depends on which rating service you believe...if you follow ESPN as Corrigan quotes, FSU did have the easiest schedule at #55. But UGA and Michigan were at #37 and #35 respectively and that difference is not that different. Oregon came in at #52. If one subscribes to College Football News, much closer with FSU at 14, Texas 12, Washington 10, Bama 4, Michigan 3. To put in perspective, Oklahoma 21, Florida 18, Oregon 17 and ND 13. If Sports Illustrated is your preference, FSU 78, UGA 63, Washington 54, Michigan 51, Bama 31. Additional perspective, Oregon 96, Penn State 89. In 2 cases, Oregon's schedule was weaker, and in the other almost the same. Would you had an issue had Oregon beat Washington and won PAC 12 had they been in the CFP?? I bet not. FSU was 2-0 over SEC teams, neither at their home stadium. The ACC won the series schedule over the SEC 6-4.
  16. Great question? His stats above against the level of competition he played against as well..... Did the young man from HSE have better stats? I hope it was not because they didn't want to award 2 kids from the same school or because he's playing baseball at ND.
  17. Isn't that the point of the discussion....should the playoff teams be selected for on the field play and what they earn or what a group of people (with bias) "think" are the best matchups?
  18. Good read about FSU's snub and I understand his view about Washington......would have been nice to give the PAC 12 their final Rose Bowl. Can argue Washington earned it. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39033710/cfp-anger-index-unpacking-outrage-florida-state-snub-2023 Then we moved to a four-team playoff, and the whole point was to eliminate the hypotheticals and let a champion be crowned by the actual results on the field. If you won your games, you had a chance to win a national title. Turns out, all of that was a charade. None of it mattered. The games are pointless. What happens on the field is less important than what a committee thinks might happen in a future matchup. It is an absolute slap in the face to every player who has ever put on a helmet, laced up cleats and marched onto the field to battle for a victory, because a bunch of folks in a conference room in Texas decided their sacrifice was not as important as the Las Vegas line on a potential playoff matchup. It's a joke. Let's be real about what happened here: The committee members couldn't leave the SEC out of the playoff. They didn't care that Alabama needed a miracle to avoid a loss to 6-6 Auburn two weeks ago. They didn't care that Georgia's own injuries -- playing with a banged-up Ladd McConkey and Brock Bowers -- likely played a large part in why the Tide won Saturday. They didn't care that the ACC has a winning record, head-to-head, against the SEC this season. They didn't care that Alabama beat 2023 Georgia, not 2021 or 2022 Georgia. They cared that Alabama and the SEC had to have a spot in the playoff by birthright. And as a result, they sent a message that what happened on the field -- the blood, tears and sacrifice that players made all season to win every game on their schedule -- was less important than getting the most compelling TV matchup. But hey, there'll be a 12-team playoff next year, so all is forgiven, right?
  19. That's fair....I do not, but being a long time married guy, proven wrong more times than not!!
  20. It would seem the Pirate called it….
  21. ACC had a winning record against SEC opponents this season. This was not the best year by far for the SEC. Best conference top to bottom this season was the conference dissolved….
  22. If I follow this logic, do you really believe Texas is better than Georgia??
  23. Lol…so now I must be an accountant. Learn something new everyday. Glad you feel you are making a difference…why allow others to pat you on your back, when you can do it yourself? Very special….
